| This report is a result of a contract between Ifremer and the French Ministry of Industry. The aim was to provide map the fisheries activity and landings for french fishing vessels, located in the Eastern Channel and the Bay of Biscay during the year 2005. Two areas have been selected: - the "Eastern Channel" area, including 7 administrative departments : Nord, Pas-de-Calais, Somme, Seine-Maritime, Eure, Calvados and Manche. - the "Loire-Gironde" area, including 4 administrative departments : Loire-Atlantique, Vendée, Charente-Maritime and Gironde. |

| Weight–Body Length relationships (WLR) of 45 fish species (37 Actinopterygii and eight Elasmobranchii) were investigated. A total of 31,167 individuals were caught and their biological parameters measured during the four quarters from 2013 to 2015, on five scientific surveys sampling the North-eastern Atlantic Ocean from the North Sea to the Bay of Biscay (ICES Divisions IVb, IVc, VIId, VIIe, VIIg, VIIh, VIIj, VIIIa and VIIIb). Among 45 tested species, all showed a significant correlation between total length (L) and total weight (W). The influence of sex on WLR was estimated for 39 species and presented a significant sexual dimorphism for 18 species. Condition factor (K) of females was always higher than for males. | Longtemps, le port de Boulogne/Mer a, sans concurrence, été le premier port de pêche fraîche de France. Se disputant cette primauté avec Lorient depuis les années 80, il a repris cette place au début des années 90 et ne l'a plus quitté depuis. L'Office des pêches puis l'ISTPM et maintenant l'IFREMER y ont donc logiquement maintenu un laboratoire de recherches halieutiques depuis 1883. |

| Ce rapport fait la synthèse des travaux réalisés en 2008 et en 2009 au cours du programme Selecmer. Celui-ci, réalisé à l'initiative des professionnels de la pêche en partenariat avec l'Ifremer, avait pour objectif de travailler à améliorer la sélectivité du chalut de fond qu'ils utilisent afin de diminuer les rejets des individus hors-tailles1, en particulier pour le merlan, tout en limitant les pertes commerciales immédiates. | En 1983, plus de 20 millions de voyageurs et près de 20 millions de tonnes de marchandises ont traversé la Manche ou la Mer du Nord entre la Grande-Bretagne et le continent. Ces échanges sont trois fois supérieurs à ceux enregistrés en 1970, ce qui représente une augmentation annuelle de l'ordre de 10 %. Les prévisions les plus réalistes tablent actuellement sur une augmentation moyenne légèrement supérieure à 4 % par an d'ici l'an 2000, ce qui équivaut à plus que doubler à cette date le trafic actuel. Pour répondre à une telle demande, il a été nécessaire d'envisager différentes solutions permettant de faire face à l'augmentation prévue. |

| Le lien fixe transmanche dont la mise en service est prévue pour l'année 1993 nécessite la construction de deux terminaux, l'un situé en Grande-Bretagne et le second en France comportant notamment des voies d'accès, des aires d'accueil, des quais ainsi que des bâtiments administratifs et des ateliers d'entretien (figure 1). De côté français, les ouvrages du terminal se répartiront sur une surface approximative de 50 ha et seront composés essentiellement par six grandes zones (figure 2) : - accès routiers et échangeurs, - terminal tourisme, - terminal commercial, - quais, - zone de maintenance, - boucle ferroviaire.
