Lever la topographie de la zone côtière à l’aide de la technique du télémètre laser (Lidar) aéroporté présente de multiples avantages par rapport aux méthodes classiques : la mesure est rapide, dense et précise, autorisant la cartographie du relief de zones d’estran difficilement accessibles aux moyens classiques. L’Ifremer et la Cellule de Mesures et de Bilans ont organisé en 2002 la couverture de plusieurs sites du littoral ouest de la France. La mise en oeuvre des levés et la validation des données sont rapidement exposés, ainsi que la précision que l’on peut en attendre, sur sol nu et végétation basse. The Reykjanes Ridge is a major topographic feature of the North-Atlantic Ocean that extends from Iceland to the Charlie Gibbs Fracture Zone. Located between the Iceland Basin and the Irminger Sea, the Reykjanes Ridge strongly influences the subpolar gyre circulation and is a gate toward the deep convection areas. In Marennes-Oléron, Héral (1986) described the relationship between the annual production and the oysters' biomass over a century. His conclusion is that the drop in the growth of oysters was caused by an "overstorage" considering the trophic capacity of the basin. Moreover, the large intertidal spaces, though providing a great opportunity for mollusc culture, suffer from a large bio-deposition (Sornin 1983) which tends to intensify the sedimentation of the basin. The spatial management of oyster culture could be a key factor for its long-term development. La seule couverture bathymétrique complète donnant des renseignements sur l'altimétrie des estrans et sur la profondeur des chenaux date de 1864. Pour la mise en place d'un modèle hydrodynamique, une bathymétrie classique a été réalisée sur toute l'étendue du bassin d'Arcachon entre 1992 et 1993. Le premier chapitre traite : - des observations de la marée en différents points répartis autour et à l'intérieur du Bassin.
