| From the aquaculture point of view, in any interesting species, one of the first issues raised is the obtaining of some fries for rearing. The first solution is the sampling of the ovums through abdominal pressure on mature females (the well-known technique used on salmonids). However, for basses, this method provides very few advantages for too many disadvantages; the first obstacle met is the determination of the fish's exact state of maturity in order to avoid a premature or late gamete release. | L'exploration de la couverture sédimentaire des fonds océaniques n'a été possible d'une manière systématique que depuis 1960, lorsque les techniques de sismique réflexion continue furent introduites pour la première fois. L'absorption du son dans les sédiments étant d'autant plus grande que la fréquence est élevée, les procédés de sondage ultra-sonore classiques qui utilisent des fréquences de l'ordre de 12 kHz ne permettent pas des pénétrations supérieures à quelques mètres à l'intérieur des sédiments meubles. Par contre, aux fréquences de l'ordre de 100 Hz, la pénétration de l'onde sonore est beaucoup plus grande et il devient possible d'effectuer un véritable sondage continu des couches sédimentaires consolidées. Jean Charcot (1973) several marine geophysical lines, including bathymetry, magnetism, continuous seismic as well as sonobuoy profiles have been run across a deep marginal plateau extending on the southeastern Brazilian margin and known as the Sao Paulo Plateau. These data indicate the presence of a thick sedimentary cover (more than 4s DTT) on the upper slope and up to 3s DTT thick on the lower slope and rise. | Genus Diastyloides Sars, 1900, is characterized by a mandible which is truncated at its base (type Leuconidae) that it is the only one to possess in the Diastylidae family. The bathymetric map as well as some seismic profiles show an irregular morphology in relation with the paleozoic basement. Fourty grab samples were collected within a regular grid. | New oceanographic data enable us to precise the geological phenomena linked to the convergence zones of two lithospheric plates. Taking into example the Peruvian continental margin, the subduction phenomenon of the Nazca plate under the South-American plate can be tackled. This subduction occurs in the domain which is immersed by seisms, volcanism, magmatism and tectonics. We present the geophysical and sedimentological data specific to the oceanic domain of the Nazca plate and follow its evolution as it reaches the Peruvian margin.
