| As informações referentes às taxas de recuperação do boro pelo extrator em razão das doses adicionadas são escassas e necessárias para os sistemas de recomendação de adubação e corretivos. Esta pesquisa teve o objetivo de determinar as taxas de recuperação desse nutriente com água fervente e CaCl2 fervente em solos dos Estados da Bahia e Minas Gerais, na ausência e na presença de calagem. O experimento foi instalado em casa de vegetação, utilizando tratamentos em esquema fatorial (6 × 2 + 9) × 6, correspondendo a seis solos com e sem calagem, nove solos sem calagem e seis doses de B. | Eucalyptus Shoot Blight in the Vale do Rio Doce (ESBVRD) is an anomaly that leads to reduced growth and, in more extreme cases, to death of eucalyptus plants. Initially diagnosed in plantations in the region of the Vale do Rio Doce, in the State of Minas Gerais, Brazil, this problem has also been found in plantations in other regions of the country and even in other countries. | No município de Araponga, Estado de Minas Gerais, foi estudada a possibilidade de antecipar a colheita do caquizeiro 'Costata', e obter preços mais elevados no mercado através da quebra de dormência artificial. A cianamida hidrogenada nas doses de 2,4; 7,3; 12,2 mLL-1 , combinadas com 8,0 mLL-1 de óleo mineral, foi aplicada em 9-6, 30-6, 21-7 e 11-8-1999, quando as gemas se encontravam dormentes. Quando comparada com as plantas-testemunha, a aplicação de 7,3 a 12,2 mLL-1 de cianamida hidrogenada e 8,0 mLL-1 de óleo mineral, no período de 9-6 a 16-6, antecipou a brotação, o florescimento e a colheita em 12; 10 e 10 semanas, respectivamente. | O estudo foi realizado com o objetivo de avaliar a produção forrageira e o desempenho de bovinos de corte pastejando sub-bosque de um sistema silvipastoril com eucalipto, adubado com fertilizante nitrogenado e duas ofertas de forragem. Os tratamentos consistiram de três doses de fertilizante nitrogenado (0, 75 e 150 kg ha-1 de N, na forma de ureia), e duas ofertas de forragem (10 e 15% PV). O estudo foi conduzido sob delineamento inteiramente casualizado, com quatro repetições e três períodos de avaliação. | RESUMO Com o presente trabalho objetivou-se avaliar, através dos métodos linha de fronteira e chance matemática, o estado nutricional de pitaias submetidas a combinações de doses crescentes de nitrogênio-potássio (N-K) e fósforo-zinco (P-Zn). Foram aplicadas cinco doses de N (0; 150; 300; 450 e 600 mg dm-3) e K (0; 75; 150; 225 e 300 mg dm-3) no experimento I, e cinco doses de P (0; 75; 150; 255 e 300 mg dm-3) e Zn (0; 2; 4; 6 e 8 mg dm-3) no experimento II. Ambos os experimentos foram arranjados em esquema fatorial 5 x 5, com quatro blocos ao acaso. | Soil organic matter of a humic Oxisol has been characterized by analyzing litter and soil lipid composition under vegetal covers (coffee, pasture and fragment of native forest). Soil and litter samples were collected from each site at two depths (0-10 and 60-100 cm). Lipid composition was determined by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (CG-MS). In the solvent extracts of the soil lipids, even-numbered n-alkanoic acids in the range of C16-C32 indicate a soil organic matter input from higher plant waxes.
