| This 2002 report is the progress report of a study co-financed by the Brittany region and IFREMER within the framework of the XII State-Regional Planning Contract. It follows the 2001 report, which contains a comprehensive description of the Breton fleet in 2000, i.e., all occupations included, as well as its evolution since 1983. The work carried out in 2002 focused on mapping the fishing zones frequented by Brittany's ships as well as on analysing fishing strategies. |

| Les cartographies annuelles des biomasses microphytobenthiques ont été réalisées pour le bassin de Marennes-Oléron. Parallèlement les cartographies des caractéristiques sédimentaires ont été établies simultanément aux cartes d'abondance et biomasse macrofauniques en portant un effort particulier sur les densités des compétiteurs des huîtres notamment les Crépidules. Simultanément les études des mécanismes contrôlant le réseau trophique sur la vasière de Brouage ont été poursuivies notamment les relations entre les flux de sels nutritifs et le microphytobenthos. L'importance de ce dernier compartiment dans la nutrition de l'huître a été clairement mis en évidence par l'utilisation des traçeurs isotopiques naturels. | Our objectives can be broken down into two main axes: -Mapping of the swamp and of its use - Thematic mapping of the trophic availability of the hydraulic units. Data acquisition has been continued throughout the year 2003 To do so, a number of technical adjustments have been necessary. In this final phase of the contract, a new point of view has been tackled: that of modelisation. Indeed, considering the complexity of the calculations used, the evaluation of the trophic availability in the different hydraulic units requires the use of such techniques and software. Spatial analyses have been continued, and a number of models aimed at simplifying measurement acquisitions have been created. |

| The oceanographic cruise Califa 2000, as the previous cruise, which concerned the "Parc National de Port-Cros", had for its principal objective to furnish some elements susceptible to help in the control of Caulerpa taxifolia expansion and in the protection of particularly sensitive areas (national parks, patrimonial sectors, regions of socio-economic importance). The cruise lasted from the 4th to the 21st of September 2000 in the rade d'Hyeres, Porquerolles island included, and the rade of Toulon.
