We propose a new definition of partnership, which emphasizes the role and meaning of power in creating partnership. Following a case study of change processes within a kibbutz community undergoing lifestyle changes, The proposed definition focuses on three dimensions of partnership: (a) the overt dimension, in which partnership is manifested through daily community life such as organizational structure, rules and norms; (b) the covert dimension, which focuses on symbolic rites of partnership and "non-events"; (c) the latent dimension, which expresses internalized partnership and influences participants' consciousness through socialization and world views. |

One of the prerequisites for a supply chain network is the existence of a focal company, which possesses power to coordinate the network in order to realize its strategic objectives. Power represents one of the major elements of the supply chain management and seems to have been treated in the literature in contrasting ways from the two sides “dark” and “bright”. Using literature review we examine how these sides of power affect supply chain management from the viewpoint of the focal company with specific attention to coordination and cooperation issues and whether it can be used as a tool to promote the overall supply chain effectiveness. |

The branch of the supermarkets is seen threatened each day by radical changes and sometimes involuntary those which should be faced in a way practical and direct as if is tried to minority problems. Furthermore, as all in the life changes and evolves, the market is not left behind being this obligator to improve their/its continuous improvement strategies to reach the excellence and the permanency before the competition every time but direct. The present study is carried out in the state self-service company in Delicias City, Chihuahua, who requested the one which anonymity devotes to the foods and products marketing for household. It is I accomplished a study that consisted of measuring the cultural dimensions of the groups that meet in Delicias and the... |

In order to manage supply chain relationships effectively both aspects - the need to align the actions in order to coordinate the network and the alignment of interests of cooperating actors – are important. Therefore, the coexistence of both cooperative and competitive constructs should be recognized, where power coexists alongside with trust. Many scientific works have been written on power and trust as constructs of business-to-business relationships separately. However, most of the existing relationship marketing literature studies power and trust in relation to conflict or satisfaction, and the link between power and trust in the supply chain context appears to be largely ignored as a research topic. Some scientists assert that power negates... |

Transparency has gained much relevance in food chains. This paper summarizes the determinants of transparency and points out that transparency in the sense of effective information exchange needs trust as a mediator in order to become a powerful tool in supply chain management. In addition to that this paper analyses the characteristics of trust and highlights the reciprocal and dynamic mechanisms of trust on transparency and vice versa. It is argued that both constructs should be enhanced at the same time in order to realize the benefits of trust and transparency on supply chain management. |

Studies to develop renewable fuels, such as biodiesel, as substitutes for petroleum diesel are of great environmental importance. However, to be effectively incorporated into the energy mix, satisfactory performance of a diesel cycle engine under the effect of this biofuel must be ensured. The objective of this study was to evaluate the specific fuel consumption, effective power and torque of a diesel engine with respect to resistive loads under varying volumetric proportions of soybean biodiesel in diesel mineral oil (5% (B5), 10% (B10), 25% (B25) and 50% (B50)) under varying applied loads (1.5, 3.0, 4.5, 6.0, 7.5 and 9.0 kW). For the test, a 7.36 kW engine coupled to a 28.8 kW three-phase electric generator was used. The loads were elevated up to 9.0 kW... |

Leaves scattered on the parks, passages, and other places have a detrimental effect on the beauty of the environment, and decrease photosynthesis, hence, the efficiency of plants. Leaves are also used in the production of peat. This makes using leaves collectors in parks, and organizations with a green space useful. Due to the fact that leaves take up a high volume, their transportation is difficult. Using the machine introduced in this paper which was equipped with a suction-blower system, increases efficiency, and at the same time decreases the costs of green space, and their workforce cost. Focusing on overcoming the mentioned difficulties, this study was carried out in order to design and produce a tractor powered leaves collector equipped with... |

In this study, the rate of microwave drying method kiwifruit (Hayward variety) was studied. Samples in a completely randomized design with three different thicknesses of 4, 6 and 8 mm and weight of 15 g and three power of 200, 300 and 400W, with three replications, were dried in the microwave dryer. The samples were weighed every 30 seconds, and then moisture ratio was obtained. According to the results of experiments with different thicknesses Kiwifruit by increasing power, drying time decreased. The amount of effective moisture diffusion coefficient of kiwifruit slices with thickness of 4, 6 and 8 (mm), 3.25×10-9 to 6.49×10-9 (m2/s) and 3.65×10-9 to 1.83×10-8 (m2/s) and 1.29×10-8 to 3.25×10-8 (m2/s) was changed. The value of the effective activation... |

Microbial fuel cell (MFC) technology is a promising bio-technology that utilizes the microorganism in organic wastes to generate electricity. Although human urine has been identified as a suitable substrate in MFCs, its possible utilization in a soil-based Membrane-less Single Chamber Microbial Fuel Cell (MSCMFC) for constant power generation has, hitherto, not been reported. In this study, a MFC was set up with mud as inoculums in a plastic cylindrical vessel using carbon felt electrodes. It was operated for 19 days (456 hours) without extra substrate. Then, the MFC was treated with human urine (as substrate) four times (Days 19, 24, 32 and 36) each time the MFC output stabilized across external loads. A control MFC (MFCcontrol) was made the same way and... |

Sisvar is a statistical analysis system with a large usage by the scientific community to produce statistical analyses and to produce scientific results and conclusions. The large use of the statistical procedures of Sisvar by the scientific community is due to it being accurate, precise, simple and robust. With many options of analysis, Sisvar has a not so largely used analysis that is the multiple comparison procedures using bootstrap approaches. This paper aims to review this subject and to show some advantages of using Sisvar to perform such analysis to compare treatments means. Tests like Dunnett, Tukey, Student-Newman-Keuls and Scott-Knott are performed alternatively by bootstrap methods and show greater power and better controls of experimentwise... |
