In een duinvegetatie met zomprus en knopbies bij het Kennemermeer verhuizen veel individuen van Coleophora taeniipennella na het derde stadium van de oorspronkelijke voedselplant, zomprus, naar knopbies. De afgelegde afstanden variëren van 5 tot 35 m en grotere percelen met struiken belemmeren de mobiliteit. De rups, die in een zakje leeft, kan zich in knopbies op verschillende plekken verpoppen: helemaal in het binnenste gedeelte van een hoofdje, soms zelfs naast een cocon van het vlindertje Glyphipterix schoenicolella, of op de buitenste schutblad. In knopbies neemt de rups blijkbaar geen voedsel op, temeer om dat de structuur van het knopbiesnootje een reeks van aanpassingen vereist. Noch voedselgebrek in de doosvruchten van de zomprus, noch bescherming... Trifurcula (Trifurcula) pallidella (Duponchel, 1843) is recorded for the first time from Spain, Andalusia. Previous records were misidentifications. Male genitalia are illustrated and a revised distribution map is provided. A few records of Trifurcula (Levarchama) species from the Annotated catalogue published in 2004 are corrected. (F.) festivitatis spec. nov. from mountains in Nepal, China (Yunnan) and northern Vietnam, feeding on shrubby Hypericum species, and E. (F.) degeeri spec. nov. from Turkey, food plant unknown. The species group is briefly reviewed and a checklist with information on distribution and food plants is provided; the weaveri group comprises 14 species. E. ruwenzoriensis (Bradley, 1965) comb. nov. is added to the group. E. hypericella (Kuroko, 1982) and E. permira (Puplesis, 1984) are recorded for the first time from China and Hypericum is confirmed as food plant for the latter. The female is described here for the first time and the male redescribed and illustrated. A checklist and key of the seven Western Palaearctic species of the subgenus are provided. For monitoring traps, a 10:3E:Z blend at 100–1000 µg is recommended. The new species Roscidotoga lamingtonia is described, a leafminer on Sloanea woollsii (Elaeocarpaceae) from the subtropical rainforests of Lamington National Park, southern Queensland, and Border Ranges National Park, New South Wales. R. callicomae Hoare, 2000 is recorded for the first time from Queensland, and from Lamington National Park. These records fall within the genus’ limited range in the rainforests in eastern Australia. R. lamingtonia is the second species of the genus feeding on Elaeocarpaceae. On the basis of a few possible apomorphies we hypothesize one host-shift from Cunoniaceae to Elaeocarpaceae. DNA barcodes for R. lamingtonia and R. callicomae are given. In addition a few previously synonymized names have been reevaluated. The identity of 17 names could be firmly established: 15 are synonymized with senior, well known names, two are senior synonyms to previously used names: Stigmella sakhalinella Puplesis (= S. discidia Schoorl & Wilkinson syn. nov.) and Trifurcula subnitidella (Duponchel) comb. nov. (= Trifurcula griseella Wolff syn. nov.). Two names are tentatively synonymized.
