This classification list for land use and livestock data was processed by the EISfOM project in order to provide a structured classification systematic to obtain comparable data and enable the exchange of data between national and Eurostat databases. A correspondence table - similiar to this - for every nation database should be defined, to link national codecs to those of Eurostat. The Cropitem/Livestock classification is used for land use/livestock data according to EU regulation 2092/91. The FFS codecs is used for Farm Structure Survey (conventional data) in the different countries. |

Pluimveemest is een hoogwaardige meststof met veel stikstof, fosfaat en kali. De hoge fosfaatwaarden maken de afzet echter moeilijk. Akkerbouwers kunnen een beperkte hoeveelheid fosfaat per hectare uit dierlijke mest per jaar op hun land brengen. Pluimveemest bevat vaak evenveel stikstof als fosfaat. Door de fosfaatbeperking kan met deze mest dan vaak niet genoeg stikstof op het land kan worden gebracht. Het project ‘Kippenmest & Kringloop’ was vooral bedoeld om te onderzoeken hoe de stikstof-fosfaat verhouding kan worden aangepast, zodat deze mest beter bruikbaar is voor de teelt van gewassen. Brochuren præsenterer FØJO II projektet StopScab: Bekæmpelse af æbleskurv. I projektet afprøves potentielle alternative bekæmpelsesmidler (planteekstrakter, olier og biologiske bekæmpelsesorganismer)for deres bekæmpelseseffekt overfor æbleskurv (Venturia inaequalis) i laboratorie, vækstkammer og plantage. Udvalgte midler undersøges nærmere for deres virkemekanismer. |

Binnen de biologische glastuinbouw lopen meerdere praktijknetwerken. De paprikatelers werken samen in het netwerk Biodiversiteit onder glas. Naast de zoektocht naar nieuwe bestrijders kijken we vooral hoe natuurlijke bestrijders worden ondersteund door extra bloemen rond en in de kas. Het praktijknetwerk Compostcomposities zoekt naar mogelijkheden om met compost een effectieve onderdrukking van wortelknob-belaaltjes te bewerkstelligen. In een lopend experiment kijken we naar de overleving van Pseudomonas fluorescens gedurende de compostering. In the Netherlands the organic sector keeps growing, but organic potato production is lagging behind. This is due to the relatively high disease pressure from Phytophthora infestans, which causes foliage and tuber late blight. For organic potato growers this disease still forms a major cropping risk. In the potato breeding programme Bioimpuls, the Louis Bolk Institute and Wageningen UR are working together with breeding companies and farmer-breeders to develop robust cultivars that are resistant to Phytophthora. Thanks to these new cultivars, organic growers now have more chance of yield security. Since Kelmeni farm is a good example in field crop management for other organic farms, it was invited to participate in the Core Organic Plus project, named PRODIVA, in which weeds were surveyed in more than 200 fields across regions in Finland, Sweden, Germany, Denmark, Poland and Latvia; all bordering the Baltic Sea (http://projects.au.dk/coreorganicplus/research-projects/prodiva/). The International Scientific Conference on Organic Agriculture Researching Sustainable Systems will be coordinated by the International Society of Organic Agriculture Research (ISOFAR) in co-operation with the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements (IFOAM) and the National Association for Sustainable Agriculture Australia (NASAA). The conference is a main module of the 15th IFOAM Organic World Congress*, hosted by NASAA. The conference will be held in Adeledaide, Australia, 21 - 23 September 2005. ISOFAR will be in charge of reviewing papers for the scientific conference and for the programme coordination. |
