| O presente trabalho revisa os sistemas tradicionais de plantio, resultados experimentais e possibilidades para melhorar os sistemas de consorcio com os algodoes arboreo (moco e hercaceo. O algodao arboreo e consorciado no primeiro ano com culturas anuais, como milho e/ou caupi, com palma durante todo i ciclo, ou com culturas forrageiras. Embora as producoes de algodao tenham sido prejudicadas com o consorcio, a produtividade como um todo e o retorno total, exceto com gramineas forrageiras, foram maiores do que aqueles provenientes do plantio isolado. | O presente estudo apresenta os resultados da avaliação do programa de financiamento à agroindústria desenhado e implementado pelo Banco do Nordeste a partir de 1990 – o FNE AGRIN. O conceito de agroindústria utilizado compreende os processos de estocagem, manejo, beneficiamento, preservação e transformação industrial de matérias-primas de origem agrícola, pecuária, florestal e pesqueira. Isto implica na integração entre a produção, abastecimento de matérias-primas e transformação, além da instalação de unidades de processamento próximas aos locais de produção. | A new CEA (Controlled Environment Agriculture) system growing Boston lettuce, Lactuca Sativa cv. ‘Vivaldi’, achieves the same quality and quantity of production every day of the year. The year-round constant quantity and quality production indicate potential for success. However, our research showed that out of nine selected U.S. locations with different climatic and economic conditions, the Northeast had 25.7 percent higher production costs for the same yield. The analysis indicated that given current prices and costs, CEA hydroponic lettuce production in northern climates such as Ithaca in upstate New York and Chicago is marginal to negative in terms of economic viability. | Four cassava varieties, Kasetsart 50, Huay Bong 60, Rayong 9 and Rayong 72 were observed for mealybug in a survey that was conducted in Kalasin Province, Khon Kaen province and Udon Thani Province from November 2011 to September 2012. The infestation of pink mealybug was counted in five levels, 0 level 0 mealybug, 1st level (1-9), 2nd level (10-99), 3rd level (100-999) and 4th level (≥1,000). On the other hand, leaf curl level was categorized into five scores as follows; margin declined slightly was categorized at normal was categorized at level 0, margin declined slightly at level 1, shoot stunted at level 2, shoot distorted at level 3 and leaves fall at level 4. | The research studies an arthropod community in upland rice ecosystem at farmers’ field in Ban Had District, Khon Kaen Province, Northeast Thailand, was conducted during May to October 2011. Samples were collected using light traps, yellow sticky traps, sweep nets and visual observation methods. A total of 7,195 individual arthropods from 160 species were recorded in this study. Among the sampling methods, 140 species were recorded using light trap, followed by 108, 58 and 30 species collected by using yellow sticky trap, sweep net and visual observation, respectively. | ABSTRACT The objective of this study was to assess variations of the condition factor (K1) in relation to the gonadosomatic- RGS and energy reserves (hepatosomatic - RWL and liposomatic - RFB relations) of Leptodactylus macrosternum and their relationship to climate variation in the Northeast of Brazil, Caatinga area, state of Paraiba. The animals were captured fortnightly through active collecting, between January and December 2013. Significant differences were observed in the monthly variations of K1, RGS and RFB indices in male and female L. macrosternum over the months of collection.
