Dunaliella tertiolecta cultures, at the beginning of their exponential multiplication stage and acclimatized at 12, 16, 20 and 24°C, undergo sudden thermic rises, or a chloration of 0.5 mg/l or a combination of both treatments. As a result, the development of this flagellate is hardly affected by these thermic shocks since the maximal tested conditions (thermic rise of 17°C from an initial temperature of 24°C) only result in a very short growth delay. On the contrary, a chloration of 0.5 mg/l results in important delays in the development, with a total inhibition when a thermic shock also occurs. In this study, we continue our research on the effect of the transit of sea water in nuclear plant condensers on marine phytoplankton This aspect has already... |
