New records of deep-water shrimps of the genus Pandalopsis with a description of P. zarenkovi spec. nov. (Crustacea: Decapoda: Pandalidae) from the Bering Sea Naturalis
Ivanov, B.G.; Sokolov, V.I..
A collection of pandalid shrimps was obtained from trawl catch in the western Bering Sea at a depth of 362 m off the Navarin Cape in June 1999. There were two species of Pandalopsis in the collection, P. dispar and a new species, P. zarenkovi spec. nov., which is described herein. The diagnostic characters of the new species are discussed in relation to related congeners. The side-stripe shrimp, P. dispar, has been recorded for the first time in the Russian waters. This species is fished commercially as a bycatch of Pandalus borealis.

A revision of the genus Parastasia in the Indo-Australian region (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae: Rutelinae) Naturalis
Kuijten, P.J..
A revision is presented of the species in the genus Parastasia. All known species are described, 11 new species are established, the parameres of most species are figured, the taxonomic levels of several taxa are changed, and 21 new synonymies are proposed. For many taxa lectotypes are designated and many specimens bearing incorrect or dubious type labels are degraded to their true status. Some aspects of distribution and dispersal are shortly discussed. A tentative key and a check list are added.

The Convolvulaceae of Timor with special reference to East Timor Naturalis
Simões, A.R.; Silva, H.; Silveira, P..
A taxonomic review of the Convolvulaceae in Timor is presented. A total of 61 taxa are listed, comprising 53 species from 15 genera. The most diverse genus by far is Ipomoea with 25 reported species, followed by Merremia with seven species. Of the seven species initially thought to be endemic, only six are endemic to the island. Two new records are presented (Cuscuta campestris and Merremia quinata) and a new species, Argyreia paivae, is described and illustrated. Keys to genera and species are included, as well as distribution maps. The conservation of East-Timorese Convolvulaceae is analysed and it is shown that they are inadequately represented in the established natural reserves’ network.

Some new species of the subfamily ‘Leptoceratoidinae’ (Ancyloceratina, Ammonoidea) in uppermost Hauterivian and lower Barremian deposits from Rumania Naturalis
Avram, E..
The Berriasian — lower Valanginian genus Leptoceras reappears in the lower Barremian sequences of Rumania, where it is represented by at least two species: L. brunneriforme sp. nov. and L. svinitense sp. nov. This record has led to a revision of the so far accepted taxonomic interpretation of the criomorph Barremian Leptoceratoidinae and of their relationship with the Berriasian-Valanginian Protancyloceratinae. In addition, a new species of the genus Hamulinites (H. nicklesi, from the uppermost Hauterivian) provides evidence that the genus Eoleptoceras Manolov should be considered valid.

Previously, C. grayi was described from the middle Eocene Tallahatta Formation in Alabama. Stevea martini sp. nov. constitutes only the second species of the genus and the sole fossil occurrence known to date.
