Based on the introduction of the general situation of research region, pressure index model of cultivated land is adopted according to the data of population, cultivated land area, crop sowing area, grain sowing area, and unit grain yield in the Statistical Yearbook of Fengxian County. The change of relevant factors of cultivated land pressure index over time is analyzed, as well as the tension level of cultivated land resources. Research shows that the pressure on cultivated land is relatively great in Fengxian County in the years 1999-2005. Grain supply and demand is still under the unsafe state. There will be more prominent contradiction between supply and demand of cultivated land in Fengxian County in the future, and the grain security will under... |

Australia in 1992 adopted the National Strategy for Ecologically Sustainable Development to ensure all future development occurs in a 'sustainable' manner. Measurement of the nation's sustainable development is currently conducted through the OECD Environmental Performance Review and various other ad-hoc indicators or measures have been proposed, such as greening the national accounts (Green Gross National Product) and the Genuine Progress Indicator. No one has identified a clear and precise way to either measure or model sustainable development in Australia. By trialing the implementation of inclusive wealth theory in Australia, this paper aims to identify and comment on the issues of measuring and modelling sustainable development as a stock measure in... |

From the perspective of low carbon economy, the paper analyzes the factors that influencing the development of low carbon economy. It is showed that the damage of marine ecological environment results in the low ability of oceans in absorbing green gas; environmental pollution leads to lowering capacity of ocean to deal with the wastes; development of related marine industries brings deterioration of marine environment; changes of climate threat the healthy development of marine economy. The paper points out the development routines of marine low carbon economy: accelerating the innovation of energy techniques, exploring marine renewable green energies; planning scientifically and strengthening the protection and repairmen of marine environment; developing... |

Based on the survey of Chongren county Bailu village, Taihe county Yongchang village and by focusing on the system implementation costs, the public goods is divided into tangible products and intangible products these 2 parts to carry out a perfomance analysis of the supply of public goods in rural communities. It points out that in both the well-acquainted and rare-acquainted communities in rural areas there are some long-existing informal systems, such as religions. Because of their born nature, the system implementation costs are relatively lower. However, the implementation costs of the embedded foreign systems are relatively higher because of their weaker lasting features and the rare social basis. Therefore, proposing putting the efficient supply of... |

Soil fertility and the lack of fertilizer use in Africa are frequently discussed topics. The problems of land degradation and low agricultural productivity, which result in food insecurity and poverty, are particularly severe in the rural highlands of Ethiopia. In many areas, a downward spiral of land degradation and poverty appears to be occurring. Finding solutions to these problems requires identifying effective entry points for farmers, governments, and civil society organizations, and understanding the potential impacts and tradeoffs that are likely to arise from alternative interventions. This report seeks to improve that understanding, using a bioeconomic model of land management and agricultural production developed for a community that is fairly... |
