| Le présent travail est la troisième partie de l'étude entreprise en Rade de BREST sur l'impact des activités humaines sur les peuplements macrobenthiques des fonds meubles. - La première partie a recensé les fonds soumis aux perturbations et le type de dégradation provoqué par les activités humaines. - Dans la seconde partie, nous avons étudié les différents aspects présentés par un peuplement de vases sableuses sur un gradient de matière organique depuis la source de la pollution jusqu'aux fonds propres. | La précédente étude a permis de cerner l'ampleur et le type de dégradation provoqués par les contraintes anthropiques en Rade de Brest. Le présent travail a permis de définir l'impact de la pollution sur le peuplement installé sur ces zones précédemment reconnues. Les phénomènes étudiés sont provoqués par l'enrichissement en matière organique, des sédiments et de l'interface eau-sédiment. Cet excès de matière organique bénéfique à faible concentration est néfaste ensuite. | The Bay of Biscay (North-East Atlantic) has long been subjected to intense direct and indirect human activities that lead to the excessive degradation and sometimes overexploitation of natural resources. Fisheries management is gradually moving away from single-species assessments to more holistic, multi-species approaches that better respond to the reality of ecosystem processes. | Within the framework of the 'dynamic equilibrium model', we tested the hypothesis that fishing causes major disturbance to benthic communities on deeper bottoms of the continental shelf. Benthic megafauna on the Bay of Biscay coast of France was sampled on fishing grounds subject to various conditions of exploitation. Samples were taken at around 100 m depth to avoid strong natural disturbances. Species diversity and the largest body mass class of invertebrates were smaller in strongly exploited areas than in moderately exploited ones. | The ontogenic variations of nitrogen and carbon stable isotopic signatures (delta N-15 and delta C-13) were investigated in two spider crab (Maja brachydactyla) populations inhabiting in different biotopes of Western Europe. The Iroise Sea population is localized in Western Brittany and characterized by a seasonal migration occurring on a large bathymetric and habitat gradient while the Seine Bay population, in the Eastern English Channel, remains in a more homogeneous environment during its migration.
