| L'étude écologique des ressources halieutiques du site de Paluel entreprise par l'ISTPM en 1975 est entrée en janvier 1978 en plase de surveillance. Cette étude doit permettre dans un premier temps d'apprécier les fluctuations naturelles des principaux paramètres hydrologiques retenus à partir de l'étude de Projet et, dans un second temps d'analyser l'incidence éventuelle de la centrale sur le milieu marin et ses ressources. | L'étude de Projet relative aux ressources halieutiques du site de la centrale thermonucléaire de Flamanville a mis en évidence l'intérêt de la pêcherie des crustacés du nord-ouest Cotentin pour la flottille de petites unités travaillant au casier dans ce secteur. En raison de cet intérêt et en accord avec l'Institut des Pêches maritimes, l'Electricité de France a décidé de poursuivre les observations sur cette pêcherie durant une période plus longue que celle à laquelle elle était tenue par les textes réglementaires. |

| Up to now there has been no strong investigation on bycatch of marine mammals in the French set net fisheries of the English Channel (ICES areas VIIe,d &IVc) as the EC 812/2004 regulation does not oblige the state members to put observers on board of vessels in the ICES area VII. A study named FilManCet has been started end 2008-beginning 2009 to focus on the bycatch occurring on the set net vessels issued from Boulogne and Dunkerque ports (fisheries in VIId&IVc) and from the ports of North of Brittany. In this study which is conducted by the Fishing Industry, the data are made available to the scientists of Ifremer who has prepared also the sampling scheme for observation at sea. | The research programme developed within in the framework of the project study of the Paluel site allowed us to highlight, near the drainage channel of the Durdent, a sea trout fishery using fixed nets in the area of the swaying of the tides. This activity, very much in use in the eastern English Channel and along the southern shoreline of the North Sea, not only for catching certain amphibiotic species but also species that are strictly of the sea, represents a sizeable cause of the mortality rate for salmonid populations during their coastal migrations. | The pilot study on the halieutic resources of the site of the Flamanville thermonuclear plant showed the interest of crustacean fishery in the north-west part of Cotentin for the artisanal fleet pot-fishing in this area. This monitoring continued from 1980 to 1982, and these three complementary years of study of coastal crustacean fishing enabled the linking of the project phase to the three years of ecological monitoring of halieutic resources. |
