| The role of vitamin C on physiological responses of matrinxã (Brycon amazonicus) submitted to air exposure was analyzed. Nine hundred fish (70.15 g) were distributed in fifteen 500 l boxes (60 fish.box-1) and fed five rations (treatments): Control (no vitamin C); T100 (100 mg); T200 (200 mg); T400 (400 mg) and T800 (800 mg of vitamin C kg.ration-1). Each ration was offered to fish of three boxes during 60 days before the stress challenge that consisted of exposing fish to air for two minutes. Samplings were carried out for 5, 15, 30 and 60 minutes after the air exposure. | Introduction : Since 1978, new measures to better manage lobster fisheries were implemented in the Celtic Sea within the context of Community regulations. Meshing, in particular, was set at 60mm, but many owners, in order to maintain sufficient leeway vis-à-vis the regulations and to avoid administrative hassles adopted at the outset fish meshing at 70mm, even 80mm. Certain habits aiming to compensate for the losses due to these increases were established: Adoption of better-performing trawls, increase in the secondary catch and enlargement of the fisheries. | Au cours de l'année 1966, la pêche du merlu au filet maillant se développe sur les côtes françaises de l'Atlantique. Les premiers mois, ses rendements bien supérieurs à ceux du chalut lui attirent un grand nombre d'artisans dans presque tous les ports du Golfe de Gascogne. Son développement est rapide, mais très vite, les apports diminuent en qualité et en quantité. Ce type de pêche subit alors une désaffection aussi brusque que l'a été son extension. Treize mois après son introduction, cette technique est presque entièrement abandonnée. Nous avons pensé qu'il serait intéressant d'en retracer l'historique, d'étudier la composition de ses captures et l'évolution de ses rendements. |

| The research programme developed within in the framework of the project study of the Paluel site allowed us to highlight, near the drainage channel of the Durdent, a sea trout fishery using fixed nets in the area of the swaying of the tides. This activity, very much in use in the eastern English Channel and along the southern shoreline of the North Sea, not only for catching certain amphibiotic species but also species that are strictly of the sea, represents a sizeable cause of the mortality rate for salmonid populations during their coastal migrations. | A research programm on the marine green turtle Chelonia mydas nesting on the two major reproduction sites for the species in the Indian Ocean, conducled over last 15 years, included intensive tagging programm. Processing of these lagging data provides estimations of adult female populations {or each site and season from two independent methods. First classical method is the ratio of total number of nests produced over a define time on the mean individual number of nests by female during the same time (November, December, January). | The aim of the project "rationalization of biological sampling for stock assessment of marine fisheries in the bay of Biscay" is to perform statistical methods and computer programs allowing to test prognoses and diagnoses based on estimates of fishing mortalities, recruitments, yields per recruit, and the "gain-loss" function. The project gathers the laboratories of the community working on the Bay of Biscay fisheries, namely - Santander in Spain (1. E. 0) - La Rochelle and Lorient in France (IFREMER). | For the fourth consecutive year, the fishing returns of the shelly season of the roads of Brest are analyzed. For the black Scallop, principal species currently exploited, the goal is to know the evolution of the fisheries. For the shell St Jacques, season 86-87 saw a light improvement of the captures due to a good recruitment during summer 84. In the first chapter the general conditions of the unfolding of the countryside are treated, in the following are analyzed the captures of black scallop then of shell St Jacques. | Acoustic deterrent devices could be an appealing solution to tackle accidental cetacean by-catches in pelagic trawls or in fishing net gears. The bibliographical data on two species (Harbour porpoise and bottlenosed dolphin) have been analyzed in terms of audiogram, discomfort noise level that could lead to behavioural changes, sensory fatigue, and threshold for permanent hearing injuries. It is possible, on the basis of the above data, to characterize an efficient annoyance sound threshold which is not harmful to the species to be protected.
