Pendant la période Novembre 1987 - Octobre 1988, l'échauffement de l'eau dans le canal de rejet est équivalent à la période précédente (+ 8°C à + 8.5°C): Le taux de recyclage de l'eau calculé par rapport au bromoforme est de 4.3 %. Le bromoforme présente une valeur moyenne de 14 llg/1. La concentration moyenne annuelle de vibrions est 100 fois plus élevée au rejet qu'à la prise d'eau. La destruction de la biomasse chlorophyllienne due au transit est voisine de 50 % et celle de la biomasse zooplanctonique exprimée en carbone est d'environ 40 %. Several oceanographic surveys in Martinique waters with, as main objectives, either geological mapping and evaluating marine aggregate resources of research into deep water carcinologie resources, nafe produced interesting informtion on benthic pppulations situated from the infralittoral to the bathyal shelf, for the wole of faunistic groups and more specifically for the malacofauna. This catalogue deals mainly with common phytoplanktonic species found in the Channel. It is part of a bibliographical survey on pelagos and benthos. The main idea was to gather the largest possible amount of data on the eco-physiology of each species. To do so, studies were conducted in the main marine region where the species had been found and analysed. We focused on several reference ecological studies conducted in the coastal Channel, on the E.D.F. sites, by the C.N.E.X.O., the I.S.T.P.M. and some university laboratories. A great attention was also paid to the studies on seasonal cycles carried out in laboratories in Plymouth, Helgoland and in the Irish zones. (unverified OCR)

In the Bay of Biscay and Celtic Sea waters, hake is considered as genetically homogeneous and form a unique stock with identical meristic characteristics. The vertebral mean vary from 50,68 (vertebrae) during the first year of life to 51,11 (vertebrae) for adults. 0-group Merluccius display a rapid growth with significant interannual variability (0.71 mm.day-1 in 2001 versus 0.74 mm.day-1 in 2002). This paper contains a description of the Lepidoptera, exclusive of the Tortricidae, Tineidae, Orneodidae, and Pterophoridae, of t he Seychelles Archipelago, and of the coral islands of Aldabra, Assumption, Cosmoledo and Astove, though the collections from the three latter islands are too small to be considered representative. The collections from the Seychelles were obtained very largely by Mr Hugh Scott, who spent eight months (July 1905-March 1909) in the group and devoted the whole time to entomological collecting. Il faut tenir compte, en effet , de la petitesse des individus, qui les laisse passer aisément inaperçus. Pourtant, par l'importance des caractères , par la haute valeur de certaines particularités, en plusieurs cas par la grande quantité des échantillons recueillis , cette collection supplée à un tel défaut. Distribution and ecology of the chironomid Glyptotendipes ospeli in the Netherlands (Diptera: Chironomidae) This paper adresses the ecology, biology and distribution of the larvae of the chironomid Glyptotendipes ospeli Contreras-Lichtenberg, 1999. No information is available on the ecology and biology of the adults. Glyptotendipes ospeli was described in 1999 after larvae collected in Amsterdam (the Netherlands) had been reared to adults. Myopites apicates, a new fruitfly for the Netherlands (Diptera: Tephritidae) For some time a representative of the genus Myopites was expected to be found in the Netherlands, as three species were known to occur in the surrounding countries (M. tenellus, M. eximia, M. innulaedyssentericae). In 2003 Myopites apicatus Freidberg, 1980 was finally recorded. Surprisingly, this was not one of the aforementioned three species. In this paper a key to the four species known from northwestern Europe is presented.

The genus Sphegina Meigen, 1822 in the Netherlands (Diptera: Syrphidae) A survey of the genus Sphegina in the Netherlands is given. Some nomenclatural changes are indicated, which resulted in the following five species which are now known from the Netherlands: Sphegina clavata (Scopoli, 1763), Sphegina clunipes (Fallén, 1817), Sphegina elegans (Schummel, 1843), Sphegina sibirica Stackelberg, 1953 and Sphegina verecunda Collin, 1937. Some of the rarer species were confused with other species in the past or overlooked in the field. Several collections were re-examined and new records were gathered. This resulted in new distribution maps for the Dutch species and a description of the habitats.

First record of Elaphropus hoemorrhoidales in the Netherlands (Coleoptera: Carabidae) One specimen of Elaphropus hoemorrhoidales was collected in the nature reserve De Blauwe Kamer between Wageningen and Rhenen (province of Utrecht), during an extensive survey, using hundreds of pitfall traps. This species was not recorded before in the Netherlands. Information from literature on the distribution and ecology of E. hoemorrhoidales is presented.

Carpelimus zealandicus, a new rove beetle for the Netherlands (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae) In this paper the first occurrence in the Netherlands of the rove beetle Carpelimus zealandicus, originating from New Zealand, is reported. One specimen was collected on 23.v.2002 on the banks of the straightened lowland stream Hoge Raam near Sint Hubert (province of Noord- Brabant). In Europe, banks of different types of water form the normal habitat of C. zealandicus, with an apparent preference for newly created ones.
