| Colombia es el país con mayor diversidad de Passifloraceae con 170 especies reportadas, tanto en formas silvestres como cultivadas. Sin embargo, existen zonas en el país donde esta riqueza ha sido poco explorada, como el departamento del Huila en el suroriente de la zona andina. Por esta razón, se revisaron las listas de inventarios con el objetivo de actualizar y establecer la distribución espacial de las especies en esta región con base en registros de herbario, literatura y datos de campo, para proponer estrategias de conservación. | Foram conduzidos experimentos visando à otimização de procedimentos para preparações citológicas de pontas de raiz com alta freqüência de metáfases mitóticas, apresentando cromossomos com morfologia nítida, em espécies pertencentes a dois gêneros de plantas, Passiflora (Passifloraceae) e Crotalaria (Leguminosae). Para o acúmulo de metáfases, bem como de prófases e prometáfases com cromossomos bem condensados, foram avaliados pré-tratamentos de raízes, em que foram utilizadas diferentes combinações de 8-hidroxiquinolina, inibidor do fuso mitótico, com cicloheximida, inibidor da síntese protéica. | Pollen grains from twelve species of the Passifloraceae family from the Brazilian Atlantic Forest were analyzed: Passiflora subg. Astrophea (1sp.), P.subg. Decaloba (1sp.) and P.subg. | Estudos palinológicos revelam uma ampla variação de formas, número e tipos de aberturas nos grãos de pólen em Passiflora. Este estudo tem como objetivo caracterizar as aberturas polínicas de onze espécies do gênero ocorrentes no Rio Grande do Sul e duas em Santa Catarina (Brasil), pertencentes a três dos quatro subgêneros atualmente reconhecidos: Astrophea, Decaloba e Passiflora. Foram utilizadas várias técnicas de microscopia óptica de campo claro e microscopia eletrônica de varredura. | The nomenclature and taxonomy of the 25 species of Passifloraceae named by Vellozo in Flora Fluminensis were reviewed by examining the plates and Latin diagnoses. Passiflora mediterranea, P. ovalis, P. porophylla, P. silvestris, P. tetraden, and P. villosa are species proposed by Vellozo that are accepted herein. | ABSTRACT This study aims to expand knowledge of the pollen morphology of Passifloraceae and contribute to the taxonomic delimitation of the group by morphologically characterizing pollen grains of species that occur in the Brazilian state of Bahia. | The aim of this work was to study the genetic parameters, to obtaine the progenies by crossings among the yellow passion fruits cultivars (Passiflora edulis f. flavicarpa), following the Design I. The results of the variance analysis demonstrated large variability to be exploited in the population. The trait number of fruit per plant presented the largest additive genetic variation coefficient, demonstrating that larger gains could be obtained for the trait. In terms of genetic action, number of fruits per plant, skin thickness and number of days by flowering have demonstrated to be characterized by the overdominance. | This study aimed at assessing the stability of passion fruit juice in glass bottles during a 120-day storage period, regarding its volatile compounds profile and sensory properties (aroma and flavor). Samples were obtained from a Brazilian tropical juice industry (Fortaleza, Brazil) and submitted to sensory and chromatographic analyses.
