| 17日齢のホルスタイン種雌子牛が，神経症状を示した. 病畜は頭部を左後方に折り曲げて伏臥姿勢を示し，時折自力で起立したがすぐに倒れ歩行不能であった. 神経学的検査では右の対光反射，威嚇瞬き反射，眼瞼反射， および音響耳介反射が消失していた. ビタミンB1，およびデキサメサゾンの投与により第7病日に歩行可能となったものの左への斜頸・旋回が認められ，神経学的検査所見に改善は認められなかった. 第7病日に病理解剖を行い，肉眼的には橋の断面右側に直径1cm大の膿瘍を認め，嫌気培養にてFusobacterium necrophorumが検出された. 左側への斜頸，聴覚の消失等の脳神経疾状は，橋の右側の膿瘍により内耳神経等の脳神経核が圧迫された結果出現した聴覚障害，平衡障害のためと考えられた. | 19歳齢のペルシュロン種繁殖雌馬に血尿が認められた。血尿は止血剤および抗生剤投与によっては改善され なかった。患畜は次第に元気食欲の低下、削痩、貧血を呈し、高度蛋白尿および胸前部冷性浮腫が発現した。 直腸検査により人頭大に腫大した左腎を触知し、腎臓腫瘍を疑った。病理解剖の結果、左腎は27X18Xl0cmに 腫大し、血液に富む巨大な腫瘤形成(13X8X8cm)を認めた。左腎門リンパ節は腫大し、また右腎臓、左右 副腎、肝臓および肺では大小の白色腫瘤を認めた。病理組織学的検査によりこれらの腫瘍はいずれも浸潤性に 増殖する上皮性腫瘍組織であったことから、本症例は腎細胞癌が他の複数の臓器に転移したものと考察した。 |

| 8カ月齢ホルスタイン種乳牛が起立不能を呈した.右下顎リンパ節相当部に腫瘤を認めたため，午白血病を疑い血液検査および針吸引細胞診を実施したが，確定診断に至らなかった.病理解剖においては，環椎および胸椎にも腫瘤が存在し脊髄を圧迫していた.病理組織学的に，腫瘍細胞はBLA-36抗原陽性であり，B細胞性リンパ腫と診断した. BLV抗体は陰性であった.これらのことから，本症例は非定型若齢牛の散発性牛白血病と考えられた. An 8-month-old Holstein heifer presented with difficulty in standing. Bovine leukosis was suspected because of the enlargement of the right mandibular lymph node; however，this could not be confirmed by fine needle aspiration of the lymph node and blood examination. A postmortem examination revealed that neoplastic masses compressed the spinal cord and nerves at the atlas and thoratic vertebra. | 5 歳6 カ月齢ホルスタイン種乳牛が，後躯麻痺による起立不能を呈した．浅頸リンパ節の腫大と直腸検査による腫瘤 の触知から牛白血病を疑ったが，血液検査とリンパ節の針吸引生検では確定診断できなかった．剖検では，60 × 40 × 20cm 大の多結節性腫瘤が背側の腹腔壁に接して存在していた．腫瘍組織は腸腰筋に浸潤し，一部は第5 および第6 腰 椎椎間孔より脊柱管内に連続的に波及し，脊髄および脊髄神経根を圧迫していた．腫瘍はCD3 陽性のT細胞性リンパ 腫で，牛白血病ウイルス抗体陰性であったため，散発型牛白血病と診断された． A Holstein cow (5 years and 3 months old) presented with hind limb paresis and was unable to stand.
