Soil physical attributes in integrated bean and sheep system under nitrogen levels Rev. Ciênc. Agron.
Andreolla,Veruschka Rocha Medeiros; Moraes,Aníbal de; Bonini,Andreia Kusumota; Deiss,Leonardo; Sandini,Itacir Eloi.
Integrated crop-livestock systems (ICLS) can promote higher grain and meat/milk yield as well as reduce soil degradation risks. Thus, this study aimed to evaluate the influence of grazing sheep with moderate intensity and nitrogen doses on soil physical attributes, and bean crop yield (Phaseolus vulgaris Lam.) under rotation with summer corn crop (Zea mays Lam.) and winter pasture with oats (Avena sativa Lam) and ryegrass (Lolium multiflorum Lam.) The experimental design was completely randomized blocks with split-plot; the plots were nitrogen doses and the split-plots were grazing presence or absence. The treatments were nitrogen doses of 0, 75, 150 and 225 kg ha-1 applied on ryegrass and white oat pasture in winter followed by bean crop. Soil density,...

Oat grain yield under nitrogen uses in an eucalyptus intercropping system in Subtropical Brazil Rev. Ciênc. Agron.
Deiss,Leonardo; Moraes,Anibal de; Pelissari,Adelino; Silva,Vanderley Porfírio da; Andreolla,Veruschka Rocha Medeiros.
ABSTRACT Agronomic practices adequacy plays a key role in the integrated crop-livestock systems development. The objective of this study was to determine how the phytomass accumulation, yield compounds and oat (Avena sativa L. cv. IPR 126) yield were influenced by nitrogen levels (12 and 80 kg N ha-1) at five equidistant positions between two adjacent eucalyptus (Eucalyptus dunnii Maiden) double line tracks [20 m (4 m x 3 m)] in intercropping system (IS) and traditional no-till agriculture (without trees) in subtropical Brazil. The experiment was conducted in a split-block in a randomized block design with four replicates. At the end of the oat cycle, there was compensation for the lower spikelets per panicle number by the greater grain per spikelet...

Oat growth under different nitrogen doses in eucalyptus alley cropping system in subtropical Brazil Rev. Ciênc. Agron.
Deiss,Leonardo; Moraes,Anibal de; Pelissari,Adelino; Skora Neto,Francisco; Silva,Vanderley Porfírio da; Andreolla,Veruschka Rocha Medeiros.
Plant growth analysis was performed to determine how oat (Avena sativa L. cv. IPR 126) cultivated for grain responds to the eucalyptus (Eucalyptus dunnii Maiden) alley cropping system (ACS) in subtropical Brazil. The hypothesis of this work was that oat growth response is not modified by nitrogen at distances relative to 4 year old eucalyptus tracks in the ACS. The objective of this study was to determine how the oat growth was influenced by nitrogen doses (12 and 80 kg N ha-1) at five equidistant positions between two adjacent eucalyptus double line tracks [20 m (4 m x 3 m)] in ACS and traditional no-till farming. The experiment was conducted in a split-block randomized block design with four replicates. It was evaluated the oat relative growth rate, unit...
