| Ces dernières années, la petite pêche réunionnaise qui ciblait traditionnellement les espèces récifales et démersales peu profondes, a évolué progressivement vers l’exploitation des stocks de poissons plus profonds (au-delà de 200 m). Ces nouvelles espèces économiquement importantes font l’objet d’une forte exploitation mais sont cependant fragiles d’un point de vue biologique (croissance lente, maturité sexuelle tardive, recrutement aléatoire, écosystème sensible, habitats restreint à La Réunion). Ainsi, il y a une nécessité de mettre en place des mesures de gestion rationnelles et durables de ces ressources. | Cette étude correspond au volet « croissance » du projet ANCRE-DMX2. Six espèces ciblées parmi les principales espèces démersales débarquées par la petite pêche réunionnaise ont été étudiées afin d’établir leur modèle de croissance, dont certaines pour la première fois. Ce travail présente les résultats de la croissance, acquis à partir de pièces calcifiées (otolithe, écaille, opercule). Des tests préalables des différentes techniques (observation in toto, otolithe brûlé, otolithe cassé-brûlé, coupe fine) sur les principales pièces calcifiées (otolithes, écailles et opercules) ont été menés, afin d’appliquer la méthode de traitement la mieux adaptée à chaque espèce. | The ornate jobfish Pristipomoides argyrogrammicus Valenciennes 1832 occurs in the Indo-West Pacific Ocean, where it is harvested by small-scale coastal fisheries. Management of this species is hindered by lack of adequate biological data. We sampled a total of 113 individuals from the landings of local artisanal fishers on the island of Réunion (southwestern Indian Ocean), from March 2014 to March 2015. The relationships between two types of body length (total and standard length, cm) and total weight (g) were shown to be significant (p < 0.05). | For the first time ever at such a spatial scale, the EPICURE project is using the complementary exosystemic, functional and fisheries approaches to analyze and compare the partially exploited fish‐populating structure of the Geyser, Zélée, and Iris banks. This project focuses on three main points, which are 1) a habitat map of the three banks and an assessment of the live coral coverage as a proxy of the Geyser bank’s health, 2) a description of fish assemblages and a functional analysis relative to habitat type and time and 3) an estimate of the abundance index in structure size of the main exploited stocks.
