15 wheat and 4 spelt varieties suitable for ecological farming have been cultivated and tested for susceptibility to common bunt of wheat (T. caries). The 2-years randomized field trials have been carried out at 1 site, with 4 replicates and 10 m row length on naturally infested fields with T. caries. Sowing, weed control and harvesting was done by hand. The number of infested ears has been counted and the number of spores per kernel or spelt has been determined according ISTA. The infestation by wheat of the highest (Elixer, Meister) and lowest (Butaro, Florian) susceptible wheat varieties was higher than 10,000 and lower than 1,000 spores per kernel, respectively. An zwei Standorten wurden in Zusammenarbeit von FiBL, FAW und FAL zwei Versuche zur Optimierung von Gründüngungen im Gemüsebau angelegt. Die Untersaaten Erdklee und Kleegras (inkl. Spontanvegetation) bedeckten den Boden bis zu 80 %. Durch diese Biomasse wurde der Lauchertrag im Vergleich zur Kontrolle ohne Untersaat nicht unterdrückt. Von den erhobenen Krankheiten und Schädlingen wurden durch die Untersaaten die Lauch- und Eulenraupenschäden reduziert. In einem Versuch zur Frage der Einarbeitung von Gründüngungen wurden erfolgreich abfrierende (Phacelia-Klee) und überwinternde GD (Raygras-Klee) angesät. Green manuring is an important tool in organic vegetable growing by fixing nitrogen, recycling nutrients in the rotation, and maintaining soil fertility through adding organic matter. The aim of this project was to optimise the incorporation of different green manure mixtures and to optimise green manuring during winter after vegetable crops with a late harvest in autumn. |
