Mineral nutrition and tool for the fertilizing management of soybean crop Sci. Agrar.Paran. / SAP
Domingos, Cleyton da Silva; Lima, Luiz Henrique da Silva; Braccini, Alessandro Lucca.
The soybean crop, among oilseeds and even cereals, actually is more significant in production and acreage in Brazil. In the 2014/15 season were more than 31 million hectares sown with soya, with production of more than 95 million tons of grain. In addition to the increase of cultivated area, the nutritional management has been highlighted for increased production and productivity of this culture over the years. Thus, it is important to know how they are provided, and the functions and deficiencies of macro and micronutrients for this culture. Aiming to get better mineral nutrition of plants, Embrapa Soja offers a version of the Integrated System for Diagnoses and Recommendations (DRIS), to assist in the interpretation of foliar analysis, and the...

Qualidade fisiológica de sementes de soja tratadas com inseticidas, fungicidas e fertilizante Sci. Agrar.Paran. / SAP
Matera, Thaisa Cavalieri; Pereira, Lucas Caiubi; Braccini, Alessandro Lucca; Piana, Samara Cavalli; Suzukawa, Andreia Kazumi; Ferri, Glaucia Cristina; Pereira, Renata Cristiane; Correia, Larissa Vinis.

Microsatellite molecular marker-assisted gene pyramiding for resistance to Asian soybean rust (ASR) Agronomy
Viganó, Joselaine; Braccini, Alessandro Lucca; Schuster, Ivan; Menezes, Vanessa Maria Pereira Silva.
The present study aimed at pyramiding ASR-resistance genes through microsatellite (SSR) marker-assisted selection (MAS) and demonstrating the pyramiding steps. To obtain the first generation of gene pyramiding, crosses were made between introduced plants (PI’s), which have the genes Rpp1, Rpp2, Rpp3, Rpp4, and Rpp5. F1 plants from the initial crosses were intercrossed to obtain plants with the four resistance genes (second pyramiding generation). Plants selected from this second generation were again intercrossed (third pyramiding generation) to increase the number of pyramided genes. For MAS, we used informative SSR markers in each cross. SSR markers were considered informative when the source resistance allele containing the target gene could be followed...

Stevia rebaudiana (Bert) Bertoni: influence of osmotic stress and seed priming on seed germination under laboratory conditions Agronomy
Hossa, Keila Regina; Pedroza Carneiro, José Walter; Guedes, Terezinha Aparecida; Braccini, Alessandro Lucca.
The foremost factor necessary for plant growers cultivating large acreages of Stevia rebaudiana (Bert) Bertoni is the production of qualitative bedding plants. The objective of this study was to evaluate the influence of osmotic-priming on the uniformity of seed germination. First, we evaluated the percentage of normal seedlings from two seed samples harvested in 2011 and 2012. The seeds harvested in 2012 produced 71.4% normal seedlings and thus they were used in the next experiments. The seeds were subjected to osmotic stress using five concentrations of polyethylene glycol (PEG-6000) at -0.2, -0.4, -0.6, -0.8, and -1.0 MPa in contrast with distilled water. Based on these first results, only -0.8 and -1.0 MPa were evaluated in the third experiment. The...

Morphology and anatomy of the seedling and the tirodendro of Calophyllum brasiliense Cambess. (Clusiaceae) Biological Sciences
Jesus, Valquíria Aparecida Mendes de; Braccini, Alessandro Lucca; Souza, Luiz Antonio de; Moscheta, Ismar Sebastião; Mariucci, Giovanna Emanuelle Goncalves; Santos, Fábio Lúcio.
Calophyllum brasiliense Cambess. is a tree species that is presented as an alternative to replace endangered species of hardwood. The morphology and anatomy of the seedling of this species is the object of the present study. Seedlings at different stages of development were obtained in greenhouse and analyzed fresh and fixed in FAA (Formalin-Acetic-Alcohol) 50. The anatomical analysis was done by the freehand and microtome sections, according to standard techniques in plant anatomy. The seedling and/or tirodendro is cryptocotylar and hypogeal, has cataphylls, and presents eophylls and metaphylls simple with venation pinnate craspedodromous simple. The root is polyarch, the hypocotyl is very short, the cotyledons have an oily and starchy reserve, the...

Effect of seed coat on the seed germination and seedling development of Calophyllum brasiliense Cambess. (Clusiaceae) Biological Sciences
Jesus, Valquíria Aparecida Mendes de; Braccini, Alessandro Lucca; Scapim, Carlos Alberto; Santos, Fábio Lúcio; Mariucci, Giovanna Emanuelle Goncalves; Suzukawa, Andréia Kazumi.
This work aimed to study the effect of the Calophyllum brasiliense seed coat on the seed germination process. To this end, three experiments were conducted in laboratory, greenhouse and screenhouse. From a total of six treatments, five are related to the seed coat (mechanical scarification; mechanical scarification followed by 2 hours in water, chemical scarification, hot water immersion and complete seed coat removal) and one control. Laboratory and greenhouse experiments were conducted in a completely randomized design (CRD). Screenhouse experiment was conducted in a completely randomized block design (RBD). We evaluated the total percentage, the speed index and the average time of germination or emergence. Data were subjected to analysis of variance and...
