Zur Regulierung des Kleinen Fruchtwicklers Grapholita lobarzewskii Ragonot Organic Eprints
Kienzle, J.; Buchleither, S.; Scheer, C.; Zebitz, C.P.W..
Several products were tested for their efficacy in control of the apple seed moth (Grapholita lobarzewskii Ragonot). None of them had a good efficacy. With several treatments with Bacillus thuringiensis an efficacy about 50 % could be achieved. An early treatment before egg-laying seem to improve the results. Quassia extract (9 g Quassin/ha/m tree height) gave efficacy about 50-60 % even if treated only once. NeemAzal gave only moderate efficacy (about 40-50 %). Mating disruption method was effective if the populations were not too high when the treatements were started. With high populations there was no sufficient control in the first year of application.

Multi-dimensional approach against Marssonina coronaria in apple (Abstr.) Organic Eprints
Schärer, H.-J.; Ludwig, M.; Oberhänsli, T.; Bohr, A.; Buchleither, S.; Tamm, L..
Marssonina leaf blotch is a fungal disease of apple caused by the ascomycete Diplocarpon mali (anamorph: Marssonina coronaria). The pathogen origins from Asia where it accounts for crop losses of up to 100%. In Europe it was first detected in Italy in 2001 and is spreading since then in Switzerland and southern Germany (first reports in 2010), mainly in organic apple orchards and in orchards for cider production with a reduced fungicide regime. M. coronaria infects the leaves by using appressoria and shortly afterwards forms haustoria in the host cells. Blackish-violet spots appear on the upper leaf side, sometimes turning into star-like lesions. On the lesions acervuli are produced and eventually the leaves become chlorotic and fall off. First symptoms...

Control of the woolly apple aphid (Erisoma lanigerum Hausm.) by releasing earwigs (Forficula auricularia L.) and support oil applications - an interim report of first year results Organic Eprints
Toups, I.; Zimmer, J.; Trautmann, M.; Fieger-Metag, N.; Buchleither, S.; Bathon, H..
The woolly apple aphid (Erisoma lanigerum Hausm.) has been recognised for some years as a serious pest in organic fruit growing where they may cause severe economic damage due to a lack of control strategies. Based on preliminary results a new project has been started in 2007 testing combinations of releasing earwigs and oil applications in order to develop an onfarm control strategy. In this paper we present preliminary results of the first year of the project´s field trials. They showed good efficacies for applying oil preparations by brush. The efficacy of releasing earwigs depended on the infestation intensity.

Kurzfristige und langfristige Auswirkungen von zwei Spritzfolgen im Kartoffelbau auf biologische Parameter der Bodenfruchtbarkeit Organic Eprints
Fliessbach, Andreas; Buchleither, S.; Peng, S.; Mäder, Paul.
