Investigation of Various Events Occurring in the Brain Tissue After Calvarial Defects in Rats International Journal of Morphology

Bone damage and accidents, traumas can alter people's normal life, and damage the soft tissues. In this study, we aimed to investigate in calvarial defects in rats depending on the severity of cerebral contusion injury occurring in the temporal region. Effects of Polymeric Zinc Propylen-Bis-Dithiocarbamate (Propineb) on Nasal Mucosa in Rats International Journal of Morphology

The objective of this study was to evaluate the histopathologic and immunohistochemical effects of propineb on rat nasal mucosa. Twenty adult Sprague-Dawley rats weighing 180­220 g, were used as experimental animals. The rats were divided into propineb and control groups. The control group received distilled water with spray at the same time period. The experiment was terminated after three weeks. In each case, sections of the nosewere taken. In experimental group, microscopic examination of nasal respiratory mucosa revealed that degenerative changes in epithelium were observed in sections of propineb-treated group. Lead acetate is a chemical compound. Sources of human exposure to this metal include many foods, drinking water and dust. The aim of this study was to determine the immunohistochemical and histopathological changes on the face skin after lead acetate application. Wistar Albino rats (180-200 g body weight) were divided into a controlled and lead acetate-exposed group. Rats received lead acetate at 500 ppm in their drinking water for 60 days. Effects of Formaldehyde and Vimentin Expression in Rat Skin International Journal of Morphology

The Wistar rats ( 9 weeks old, 180­200 g body weight) used in these trials were divided into two groups of 16 animals each (Control group and Experimental group). 100x65x100 in the sizes of the experimental group were taken into a glass vase. During the time period of 8 weeks, 5 days a week with 8 hours the inhalation of 10 ppm formaldehyde was made. Skin was removed and placed in 10% formaline. Sections were stained with Hematoxylene-Eosine, Trichrome-Masson and observed under light microscope. In this study, histopathological and immunohistochemical techniques due to the impact of the changes in formaldehyde and examined the distribution of vimentin.

Protective Effect of Caffeic Acid Phenethyl Ester (CAPE) on Ischemia­Reperfusion Injury in Rat Ovary International Journal of Morphology

The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of caffeic acid phenethyl ester (CAPE) as a prophylactic agent on ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury in the rat ovary. A total of 28 Wistar rats were divided into 4 equal groups: (I) sham, (II) ischemia, (III) ischemia + reperfusion, and (IV) IR + CAPE. In groups I and II, ovary torsion was not performed and no drug was administered. In group III, 1 hour of ischemia and 2 hours of reperfusion were performed and no drug was given. Histopathological and Immunohistochemical Changes in the Amniotic Membrane of Gestational Diabetic Mothers International Journal of Morphology

The aim of this study is to examine the changes in the amniotic membrane diagnosed with gestational diabetes mellitus. In this study, as a control group human amnion membrane from normotensive pregnancies was collected from diabetic women at 28­35 weeks of gestation. Gestational diabetes (n= 6) and normal amnion membrane (n= 6) for a total of 12 units were received. Amniotic membrane thickness was measured (p<0.0001) and it was significantly higher in GDM groups compared to control group. Effects of Potentilla Fulgens as Prophylactic Agent in Intestinal Ischemia Reperfusion Injury International Journal of Morphology

Group 1 animals underwent sham laparotomy without ischemia-reperfusion injury. The objective of this study was to evaluate the variation in position of the conus medullaris (CM) in male and female patients without spinal deformity, to correlate the termination level in magnetic resonance (MR) images of the lumbar spine. 921 patients consisted of 607 men and 314 women were evaluated by MRI.
