Dirkse, G.M.; Reijerse, A.I.; Abbink-Meijerink, C.G..

Siebel, H.N.; Aptroot, A.; Dirkse, G.M.; Dobben, H.F. van; Melick, H.M.H. van; Touw, A..
Red Data List of extinct, endangered and vulnerable mosses and lichens in the Netherlands. Lists are presented of threatened bryophytes and lichens in the Netherlands. The list of threatened bryophytes comprises 274 species and varieties, which is about 50% of the bryophyte flora of the Netherlands. The list of threatened lichens comprises 367 species, 58% of the lichen flora of the Netherlands. Not only epiphytic species are heavily threatened, but also species growing on soil and stones.

Dirkse, G.M.; Kruijsen, B.W.J.M..
In addition to the 69 ecological groups distinguished by Runhaar et al. (1987)¹ the authors present species lists of another 8 groups: 4 groups of epilithic ecotope types (E..ms), 3 of epiphytic ecotope types (E..ef), and 1 of decaying wood (E..rh). For 58 of the ‘old’ groups they present new lists of species of mosses and liverworts. Ecological group E02ef (epiphytes of neutral bark) has no less than 68 species of mosses and liverworts; more than half the number of ecological groups contain less than 10 moss species.
