This study aimed to determine the performance and serum lipids of rabbits with 35 to 65 days of age fed with diets enriched with meal filleting residue of Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). The rabbits were randomly allocated to five treatments with the inclusion of different levels of meal (0, 1, 2, 3 and 4%) in the ration. Diets were formulated to meet the requirements for growing animals. At slaughter blood was collected from each animal in the right jugular vein for analysis of serum lipids. There was no statistical difference in animal performance (P<0.05) on HDL-cholesterol with the inclusion of meal filleting residue of Nile tilapia in the diet whose equation was ŷ=22+1.88Xi R2 = 0.87. The was a difference in the amount of blood calcium in... |
