The canola is a winter crop that is growing considerably in Brazil, being a major producer of oil, has great liquidity in the market and selling price equivalent to soy. It is the third oilseed most in the world produced, producing a excellent quality oil, rich in unsaturated lipids, which facilitates its acceptance in the market, generating waste like bran of the canola used in animal feed. It is a promising crop that offers numerous advantages to the producer, does not compete with soybeans and corn, do not need fungicide for control of diseases such as cinnamon-black, can be grown in crop rotation system, promotes soil decompaction and favors the nitrogen biological fixation. However the lack of studies and dissemination of this culture provides... |

The physic nut is widely used on oil extraction to a utilization of biofuels, beyond it is a resistant culture to drought. However, little is known about causes caused by nematode, in special the genus Meloidogyne which has a large geographical distribution, being Meloidogyne incognita one of the most important species. The aim of this study was verify the reaction of physic nut to M. incognita. Seeds of physic nut were sown in commercial substrate and the seedlings were inoculated with increasing concentrations of M.incognita: 0, 2.500, 5.000, 7.500 e 10.000 nematodes/plant (Initial Populations- Pi). After 60 days, analyzed the length of the Stem (LS) and Roots (LR), total plant height (TH), number of leaves (NL), fresh mass of Shoot (FMS) and of Stem... |

The nematodes of the genus Meloidogyne have broad geographic distribution and broad range of hosts, Meloidogyne incognita being one of the most widespread species, limiting the agricultural production of the western Paraná. The infesting plants that grow along ace crops, besides competing for essentials factors can multiply the inoculum and ensure high nematode densities, affecting management practices. The objective of this work is to playback M. incognita infesting plants in western Paraná and check the reaction of these plants to the nematode. A total of 10 species, where each plant was inoculated with a suspension of 5.000 eggs/J2 (Pi). After 60 days, up the gall index (GI), number of eggs/SR (Pf), reproduction factor (RF), reproducibility index (RI)... |
