Water status maintenance induced by Trinexapac-Ethyl in soybean plants Sci. Agrar.Paran. / SAP
Fioreze, Samuel Luiz; Guimarães, Vandeir Francisco.
Improving abiotic stress tolerance in plants by crop management is one of biggest goals of actual research, thus, plant growth regulators have a great potential in the physiological manure of crops. The objective of this work was to evaluate the effects of Trinexapac-Ethyl on soybean plants affected by drought stress during the reproductive stage. Four Trinexapac-Ethyl doses were evaluated (0, 50, 100, and 200 g ha-1 a.i.) and the induction or not of drought stress. The experimental design was completely randomized blocks in factorial design (4x2) with four replications. Relative water content was measured during drought stress and rehydration period. Protoplasmic tolerance and biometric parameters were determined after recovery period. Yield and yield...

Seed inoculation with Azospirilum brasiliense in corn plants submitted to water limitation Sci. Agrar.Paran. / SAP
Coelho, Antônio Eduardo; Tochetto, Cláudia; Turek, Thais Lemos; Michellon, Luiz Henrique; Fioreze, Samuel Luiz.
The objective of this work was to evaluate the seed inoculation with Azospirilum brasilense in corn plants under limitation of the water supply. Two assays were carried out in greenhouse conditions, using low nitrogen substrate pots. At first one, corn seeds were inoculated or not with A. brasilense and treated or not with a biostimulant (IBA+GA+KT). At the second experiment, two corn genotypes were inoculated or not with A. brasilense. In both assays, plants were submitted to limited condition of water supply at initial vegetative growth. During this period gas exchange parameters were determined at the plants. After stress period, dry matter and nitrogen content were determined in roots and above ground parts of the plants. In addition, substrate...

Genetic variability of Erythrina speciosa using morphological parameters Sci. Agrar.Paran. / SAP
Monteiro, Renata Aparecida; Fioreze, Samuel Luiz; Novaes, Márcia Aparecida Gomes.
Erythrina speciosa is specie suitable for forest recuperation programm. As its seeds coats are impermeable to water absorption, the aim of this work was to study the change of biometric characters during seed germination and analyse the physiological quality of E. speciosa seeds from different sources. Therefore, seeds were collected from Capão Bonito and Ribeirão Grande, two municipilties of São Paulo State, Brazil, and were scarified. For each replicate were used 15 seeds. The germination test was conducted at 25 °C with photoperiod of 12 hours, using vermiculite packed in seedling boxes. We evaluated the germination percentage, germination speed index, seedling stem diameter and number of leaves. The results showed that the seeds of different sources...
