Correlations between spectral and biophysical data obtained in canola canopy cultivated in the subtropical region of Brazil PAB
Pinto,Daniele Gutterres; Fontana,Denise Cybis; Dalmago,Genei Antonio; Fochesatto,Elizandro; Vicari,Matheus Boni; Bremm,Carolina; Cunha,Gilberto Rocca da; Gouvêa,Jorge Alberto de; Santi,Anderson.
Abstract: The objective of this work was to identify the spectral bands, vegetation indices, and periods of the canola crop season in which the correlation between spectral data and biophysical indicators (total shoot dry matter and grain yield) is most significant. The experiment was carried out during the 2013 and 2014 crop seasons at Embrapa Trigo, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. A randomized complete block design was used, with four replicates, and the treatments consisted of five doses of nitrogen topdressing. Plant dry matter, grain yield, and phenology were measured. The canola spectral response was evaluated by measuring the canola canopy reflectance using a spectroradiometer, and, with this data, the SR, NDVI, EVI, SAVI, and GNDVI...

Filocrono e número de folhas da canola em diferentes condições ambientais PAB
Dalmago,Genei Antonio; Fochesatto,Elizandro; Kovaleski,Samuel; Tazzo,Ivonete Fátima; Bolis,Laise Maria; Cunha,Gilberto Rocca da; Nied,Astor Henrique; Bergamaschi,Homero; Santi,Anderson.

Evaluation of mathematical equations for estimating leaf area in rapeseed Rev. Ciênc. Agron.
Dalmago,Genei Antonio; Bianchi,Cleusa Adriane Menegassi; Kovaleski,Samuel; Fochesatto,Elizandro.
ABSTRACT The aim of this study was to evaluate estimations of leaf area in rapeseed (Brassica napus L.) and the potential for application to different genotypes, environmental conditions and types of crop management. In experiments conducted during 2013, 2014, 2016 and 2017, three genotypes of rapeseed, five doses of nitrogen and three sowing dates were used. Leaves were randomly collected from different plants and positions on the plants. The leaf area (LA), and maximum width (W) and length (L) were determined for each leaf, and the product of L and W (LxW) was calculated. Fifty-six equations for estimating LA in rapeseed, where the independent variables were W, L or LxW, were compiled from the bibliography and evaluated in this work. The evaluation was...

Interception of solar radiation by the productive structures of spring canola hybrids Ciência Rural
Fochesatto,Elizandro; Nied,Astor Henrique; Bergamaschi,Homero; Dalmago,Genei Antonio; Pinto,Daniele Gutterres; Kovaleski,Samuel; Cunha,Gilberto Roca da; Gouvea,Jorge Alberto.
ABSTRACT: The objective of this study was to adjust parameters related to the interception of photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) by reproductive structures of spring canola, with different nitrogen levels and hybrids. Two field experiments were conducted, being one with different sowing dates and hybrids (Hyola 61 and Hyola 432) and another with doses of 10, 20, 40, 80, 160kg ha-1 of N, applied in top dressing. They were conducted in Passo Fundo and Coxilha, RS, Brazil, in 2011 and 2014, respectively. The evaluated variables were: area index of reproductive structures, interception efficiency and extinction coefficient of these structures for PAR. PAR interception increased by increasing the reproductive structures volume. Interception efficiency of...

Nitrogen management in wheat based on the normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) Ciência Rural
Vian,André Luis; Bredemeier,Christian; Turra,Marcos Alexandre; Giordano,Cecília Paz da Silva; Fochesatto,Elizandro; Silva,Jhonatan Alves da; Drum,Maicon Andreo.
ABSTRACT: Biomass production and nitrogen (N) accumulated in wheat shoots may be used for quantifying optimal topdressing nitrogen doses. The objective of this study was to develop and validate models for estimating the amount of biomass and nitrogen accumulated in shoots and the N topdressing dose of maximum technical efficiency in wheat using the normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) measured by an active optical canopy sensor. Field experiments were carried out in two years and treatments consisted of N doses applied at plant emergence and as topdressing. NDVI, shoot biomass and N accumulated in shoots at the growth stage of six fully expanded leaves and grain yield were evaluated, being determined the topdressing N dose of maximum technical...
