This article analyzed how the decision-making process of family farmers who are members of the Associação Santa-cruzense de Feirantes (ASSAFE-RS) occurs, regarding the management of production and marketing of food. The research, methodologically, was characterized as qualitative with the use of documentary and empirical data collection instruments, among them: literature review, observation, association documents, semi-structured interviews.
