Chromadorida (Nematoda) from Guadeloupe and Polynesia with evidence of intersexuality OMA
Gourbault, N.; Vincx, M..
Spirobolbolaimus boucherorum sp.n. (Microlaimidac) and Sabatieria maboyae sp.n. (Comesomatidae) arc described, and Dorylaimopsis pellucidum (Cobb, 1920) is discussed. Intersex specimens have been found in all three species. Spirobolbolaimus boucherorum sp.n. is characterized by its multispiral amphidcal fovea, number and localization of the cervical setae arranged in six rows posterior to the amphids, and large banana-shaped sperm. Sabatieria maboyae sp.n., a member of the S. pulchra group, possesses long posteriorly located cervical setae and long spicules.

Nématodes abyssaux (campagne Walda du N/O Jean Charcot): VI. Le genre Acantholaimus: espèces nouvelles et étude de l'appareil reproducteur à spermatozoïdes géants OMA
Gourbault, N.; Vincx, M..
Three new species of the genus Acantholaimus are described from deep-sea South- East Atlantic oozes (Walvis ridge, depth from 2 063 to 4 308 m) : A. microdontus n. sp., A. macramphis n. sp., and A. longistriatus n. sp. Within the genus, the reproductive apparatus displays a noticeable uniformity coupled with a very unusual male reproductive system producing a small number of giant spermatozoa, of which only two were found in each inseminated female. Four additional species studied from the same sites display the same reproductive pattern : A. quintus, A. septimus, A. maks and A. iubilus ( G E R L A C H et al., 1979). The same phenomenon has also been found in a littoral species (at most four spermatozoa in the inseminated female).

Revision of Desmodora with descriptions of new Desmodorids (Nematoda) from hydrothermal vents of the Pacific OMA
Verschelde, D.; Gourbault, N.; Vincx, M..
In this article four species of Desmodoridae, Desmodora alberti sp. nov., Desmodora marci sp. nov., Desmodorella balteata sp. nov. and Desmodorella spineacaudata sp. nov. (Nematoda: Desmodoridae), are described from hydrothermal vents of the Pacific. The genus Desmodora is revised and lists of valid species are provided; four subgenera are reinstated as genera; Xenodesmodora is regarded as genus inquirendum. Definitions of some morphological structures are given.

Deux espèces nouvelles d'Ironidae marins; observations sur les spermatozoïdes flagellés des Nématodes OMA
Gourbault, N.; Vincx, M..
Description of a new species of Syringolaimus, S. renaudae n. sp., from the Cape Basin, south western Atlantic deep-sea ooze from 3 694 to 4 180 m depth. S. renaudae n. sp. is characterized by its rather large size, its cephalic collar, three bifid and asymétrie teeth, extension of pharyngeal bulb and spicule morphology. Noteworthy are the very peculiar spindleshaped and flagelliform spermatozoa, that are similar to those found in S. loofi n. sp. described from the coast of the Netherlands.

Two new species of brood protecting Desmodoridae (Nematoda) from Guadeloupe OMA
Gourbault, N.; Vincx, M..
Two new Desmodoridae species are described: Croconema otti sp. n. and Pseudochromadora incubans sp. n. The cuticular ornamentation and somatic setae of C. otti sp. n. display features previously unknown within the genus. In P. incubans sp. n. the position of the cephalic setae and latero-subdorsal amphids on the cephalic capsule, which is divided into two sections, are characteristic. Brood protection occurs in both species. In C. otti sp. n. a single line of similar embryos is attached laterally on the left side of the body. In P. incubans</i< sp. n. up to three eggs, at different developmental stages, hang in a row under the modified area immediately anterior to...

Nématodes marins de Guadeloupe: V. Lauratonema spiculifer Gerlach,1959; description du système reproducteur des Lauratonematidae OMA
Gourbault, N.; Vincx, M..
Lauratonema spiculifer Gerlach, 1959, is redescribed. Females are devoid of vulva and possess a characteristic intra-uterine sphincter. The two genera of the Lauratonematidae are discussedwith peculiar references to the female genital system structures of L. spiculifer and Lauratonemoides originalis (Gerlach, 1956).

Marine nematodes from Guadeloupe: IX. The genus Metepsilonema (Epsilonematidae) OMA
Decraemer, W.; Gourbault, N..
Three new species of the genus Metepsilonema Steiner are described from the Guadeloupe littoral marine interstitial habitats. M. magdae sp. n. is significantly characterised by the pearl-like ornamentation of the distal edge of the posterior annules and by the shape and sexual dimorphism of the amphids. M. clasingae sp. n. displays a noteworthy cuticular ornamentation with long posterior subdorsal spines, far more pronounced in juveniles. In M. glutinosum sp. n. the ambulatory setae are glued together, even in juveniles. M. bermudae Lorenzen described from Bermuda and reported from Galápagos, has been collected rather frequently in Lesser Antillae.

New species of Parapinnanema (Nematoda: Chromadoridae) are described, with a discussion of the genus OMA
Gourbault, N.; Vincx, M..
Parapinnanema bableti sp. nov. is described from marine sediments from Polynesian coral reefs. Detailed information is given on the ultrastructure of the cuticle and the buccal cavity. Similar ultrastructures are observed in P. ritae sp. nov., a new species described from mangroves in Guadeloupe, and P. alii (Murphy), recorded in large numbers from the south-western lagoon in New Caledonia. P. rhipsoides sp. nov. is also described from the mangroves in Guadeloupe. The homogeneity of Parapinnanema is discussed.

Two new species of Morlaixia gen. n. (Nematoda, Diplopeltidae) with a subterminal ventral mouth OMA
Vincx, M.; Gourbault, N..
A new genus of the Diplopeltidae, Morlaixia gen, n., is described; species are characterized by an asymmetrical anterior end, which is caused by the subventral position of the mouth opening and the buccal cavity; that feature is unique for the group. Two new species, M , contusa sp. n. and M. obscura sp. n., are described from fine sands and silty sediments in the Bay of Morlaix.
