| The work presented here is the result of applying PetroMar software, elaborated at the Marine Meteorology Centre belonging to the Institute of Meteorology of Cuba in order to perform retroanalysis and prediction of oil slick tracks at sea. Programming was executed in MatLab (version 7.0) tightly coupled to geographical feature of study region through a convenient GIS and subroutines set named BatTri, used to design the mathematical 1 dominion. This application was implemented for deep waters surrounding six prefixed coastal zones in Cuban archipelago, but it may be applied to any region in the world.
