In this study, we sought to identify efficient enzymes for use in monitoring the deterioration and loss of germination of Balfourodendron riedelianum (Engler) Engler seeds. The research was conducted at the Laboratório de Tecnologia de Sementes e Mudas of the Universidade Estadual do Oeste do Paraná, Campus Marechal Cândido Rondon, Paraná State, Brazil. Seeds were harvested at three collection sites and later submitted for processing, drying, initial characterization and storage in airtight packaging under controlled and uncontrolled storage conditions and uncontrolled. Tests were conducted at 0, 120, 240, and 360 days using a germination test, germination speed index, accelerated ageing test and the activity of peroxidase, phenylalanine ammonia-lyase... |

The sucará also known as Gleditschia amorphoides is a important for the regeneration of riverine areas. Due to the presence of numbness imposed by the tegument, occurs late in seed germination, and obtaining the results, often does not correspond with the real force of the same. The tetrazolium method was used to assess the viabilidade of seed, especially because it is accurate, fast, low cost and easy to perform. This study aims to evaluate the seed vigor sucará from different sources through the tetrazolium test and seedling development. We used three seed origins, looking through the germination test, germination percentage, germination speed index, length of shoot and root mass of seedling. Parallel testing was held water content, weight of thousand... |
