Última Korte mededelingen Naturalis Hoekstra, O.; Ploeg, D.T.E. van der; Kreutz, C.A.J.. De spindotterbloem, Caltha palustris L. var. araneosa Steen., nu ook in het noorden van het land gevonden. De veronderstelling door P. Heukels in de Atlas van de Nederlandse Flora 1 (MENNEMA c.s., 1980) geuit, dat de „spindotter” waarschijnlijk een ruimere verspreiding zou kunnen hebben dan de tot dusver bekende (Biesbosch, Oude Maas en misschien Zwolle), blijkt gegrond te zijn. In mei 1980 vonden wij aan de mond van het Reitdiep bij Zoutkamp in een rijke Caltha palustris-vegetatie zeer forse planten met op de „knievormige” knopen kleine adventiefwortels. In de daarop volgende maanden konden wij constateren, dat er zeer fraaie „spinnen” tot ontwikkeling kwamen, zoals VAN STEENIS (1971) heeft beschreven. Cerastium dichotomum L., mentioned in Gorteria 1, no. 10 as a new alien for the Netherlands, was found in many specimens at Oostmahorn, prov. Friesland, near a harbour made for the reclamation of the Lauwerszee. The authors have tried to explain this remarkable occurrence, but without result. Reichgelt over de verspreiding van Juncus inflexus L. in Nederland (Corr.bl. no.16) was voor ons aanleiding het Friese verspreidingsgebied van deze plant nog eens nader te bekijken. De oudste vermelding van de soort voor Friesland vinden wij in de Flora Frisica van J.J. Bruinsma (1840): in de Menalduraer-mieden, H(inxt).
