| Pattani Rice Research center is the main center of Rice Department for developing the rice seeds in 5 special provinces of the southern parts based on southern rice seed research project. The study that aimed to investigate areas and need of rice seeds of farmers found that 75 % of local rice seeds were needed by farmers. Two most desirable rice seeds delete in the southern parts that studied by Pattani Rice Research Center Were Seebukabntang Rice Seed (PTNC09001) and Hawm Kradang-Ngah Rice seed (PTNC09002-59).
