| This document is a result of an environmental impact study carried out between 1993 and 1995 on the site of a marine trout culture located in the Harbour of Cherbourg, France. It deals with the solid waste of the farm and concems deposition rate, sediment analysis and chemistry (fine fraction < 63 ~m, organic matter, carbon, nitrogen, copper and zinc), bottom living organisms and underwater video monitoring. The impact observed is very moderate and localised. This is mainly due to the strong d)'TIamics and flushing rate of the site. A seperate volume of the same study deals with dissolved waste and concems the water mass (volume 1 : water and pelagos). (Not controlled OCR) |

| A l'issue de la campagne de mesures estivales 1994 de la DDASS et à la veille du classement sanitaire des zones conchylicoles en application de la directive européenne 91 /492, un bilan de la qualité bactériologique de eaux du littoral du Calvados a été réalisé. Il porte sur les cmq dernières années de suivi des plages et des coquillages assuré respectivement par la DDASS du Calvados et l'IFREMER de Port-en-Bessin. Il met en évidence quelques points noirs permanents : l'embouchure de l'Orne, la portion de littoral entre la Dives et la Touques et le littoral de la côte de Nacre. Ailleurs, la qualité sanitaire, plutôt satisfaisante, reste néanmoins fragile. Le système d'assainissement des communes riveraines et de grosses aglomérations en amont du bassin... |

| Ifremer, Nantes University and the township community "CAP Atlantique" have joined their skills to try to better understand how two key conchological areas in the shore economy of the Pays de la Loire area develop, especially since, environmentally, little is known about them, and because they face recurrent issues on the zootechnic level. This programme encompasses two main topics: assessment of environmental inputs (catchments areas input, contaminants evolution in the area, and impact on the conchological zones) and a study of the conchological culture (growth, mortality, analysis of the stocks). Concomitantly, operational tools (hydrodynamic and flux transfer models, databases, SIG) are developed to improve local management of the sites and information... |

| Une approche socio-économique a permis de classer en 5 catégories les exploitations conchylicoles de la côte est du Cotentin. Parallèlement, une stratégie d'échantillonnage a été mise au point dans cette zone. Dans chacune des 20 strates, la densité des poches et la composition du stock (naissain , 18 mois, ... ) ont été évaluées, ce qui a permis d'estimer à 12 900 tonnes le stock d'huîtres en élevage en 1989 et 1990. |
