Entwicklung praxistauglicher Strategien zur Regulierung von Zikaden im ökologischen Arznei- und Gewürzpflanzenanbau im Freiland und unter Glas Organic Eprints

In einem vierjährigen Vorhaben wurde von 2007 bis 2011 die Problematik des Zikadenbefalls an Arznei- und Gewürzpflanzen sowie frischen Kräutern im ökologischen Anbau untersucht. Im Grundlagenbereich wurde die bestehende Literatur gesichtet und anhand umfangreicher Beprobungen von Praxisflächen um neue Informationen zur Biologie und Verbreitung des Schaderregers ergänzt. Der im Projekt erarbeitete Schlüssel zur Bestimmung der mitteleuropäischen Arten der Zikadengattung Eupteryx und ein vorläufiger Bestimmungsschlüssel ihrer Larven in Deutschland stellen grundlegende Arbeitshilfen in der Bestimmung der Zikaden dar. Combined use of insect pathogenic fungi and nematodes against the onion thrips, Thrips tabaci, in the field Organic Eprints

In the year 2003, field trials against Thrips tabaci, an important pest insect in onion, leek and chives, were conducted at four different sites with commercially available products based on insect pathogenic fungi and nematodes. The trials were performed according to the EPPO guideline PP 1/85(3) for the efficacy evaluation of insecticides “Thrips on Outdoor Crops”. As a chemical standard Perfekthion® was used in onion. In leek, Spruzit® and Neudosan® were applied alternately. The biocontrol products used were Mycotal® (Lecanicillium muscarium, former Verticillium lecanii, Koppert NL), PreFeRal® (Paecilomyces fumosoroseus, Biobest BE), Naturalis L® (Beauveria bassiana, Intrachem IT), Nemaplus® (Steinernema feltiae, E-Nema DE) and Nemagreen®...

Biological control of Thrips tabaci in the field – possibilities and practical limits Organic Eprints

Field trials against Thrips tabaci, an economically important pest insect, were conducted in 2003 at four different sites in Germany. The effect of the combined use of entomopathogenic nematodes and fungi on thrips should be investigated, in comparison to the effect of either pathogen alone. Commercially available products, Mycotal® (Koppert NL), PreFeRal® (Biobest BE), Naturalis L® (Intrachem IT), Nemaplus® and Nemagreen® (both E-Nema DE), were used. Integration biologischer Pflanzenschutzverfahren für den ökologischen Gemüseanbau: Bekämpfung von Thripsen in Zwiebeln, Porree und Schnittlauch Organic Eprints

Thripse sind aufgrund ihrer versteckten Lebensweise nur schwer zu bekämpfen. Besonders im ökologischen Gemüsebau stehen kaum effiziente Mittel zur Verfügung. Die hier vorgestellten Versuche zeigen, dass eine Behandlung mit Nematoden und Pilzen den Thripsbefall reduziert.
