In order to study appropriate kind of organic materials for improvement of salt-affected soil to increase yield of aromatic organic rice, the experiment was carried out in farmer’s field at Tumbon Bann Ped, Amphur Muang , Khon Kaen. The experiment designed was a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) consisted of 8 treatmentswith 3 replications. The treatments were as follows: 1) no application of organic materials (control) 2) application of rice straw and Sesbania rostrata 3) application of rice husk and Sesbania rostrata 4) application of cow dung and Sesbania rostrata 5) application of rice straw, rice husk and Sesbania rostrata 6) application of rice straw, cow dung and Sesbania rostrata 7) application of rice husk, cow dung and Sesbania rostrata 8)...

The study investigates increases in methane emission from utilization of green manure in paddy field. Sulfate –containing fertilizers can reduce methane emission from paddy field. Pumice sulfate is one of soil conditioning materials with seven percentage of sulfate. This experiment aimed to study the effect of pumice sulfate on methane emission and rice growth in green manure- amended soil. The experiment was carried out in greenhouse; a completely randomized design with 5 treatments and 4 replications was set up. The treatments consisted of 1) control 2) 2 tons rai-1 sesbania debris-amended 3) 2 tons rai-1 sesbania debris-amended and 50 kg rai-1 pumice sulfate 4) 2 tons rai-1 sesbania debris-amended and 100 kg rai-1 pumice sulfate and 5) 2 tons rai-1...
