Land ownership and company structure is much more stabile in the agriculture of West- European countries than in Hungary. Therefore the lack of established land policy, land consolidation and farm regulation play the key role on the Hungarian agriculture’s ”map of problems”. These are strongly correlated and tasks urgently to be solved. These measures could help to raise the international competitiveness of Hungarian agriculture, positively influence the population supporting and keeping ability of the agricultural sector, and enable an environmentally sound management. Az életszínvonal emelkedésével egyre nagyobb hangsúlyt kap az egészséges táplálkozás, és ugyanakkor a mezőgazdasági termelésben jelentkező árutöbbletek kitörési pontok keresésére ösztönzik a gazdálkodókat, így az ökológiai gazdálkodás a mezőgazdaságban tevékenykedők egy csoportjának teljes, illetve részbeni megélhetési alapul szolgálhat. 2005-től azonban jelentős visszaesés tapasztalható mind az ökológiai termelésbe vont terület nagyságát, mind az ökológiai gazdaságok számát tekintve, a gazdálkodók egy része ugyanis különféle más integrált programokba kapcsoló¬dott a kedvezőbb feltételek és a magasabb támogatási összegek miatt.
