BeeFarm – mapping resources for pollinators at the farm Organic Eprints
Langer, V.; Strandberg, B.; Hansted, L.; Dupont, Y.; Madsen, H.B.; Sørensen , P. B..
The aim of the BeeFarm project is to develop a farmer’s tool for assessing resources for bees at the farm. The tool includes a guided tour through the fields and semi-natural habitats of a farm, in order for the farmer to systematically assess the bee resources on the farm. The tool will make it possible for the farmers to identify resources, which are potentially limiting wild pollinator populations.

Learning through exchange about organic agriculture - case of Europe and Australia Organic Eprints
Sriskandarajah, N.; Mulley, R.; Christie, M.; Taji, A.; Wals, A.; Abbott, L.; von Fragstein und Niemsdorff, P.; Williams, R.; Langer, V.; Olsen, H.; Parvez, Q.; Ward, P.; Packham, R.; Scullion, J.; Daniel, H.; Kristiansen, P.; Galea, V..
LEAFSE is the catch word for an innovative program of exchange study for young Australians and Europeans, with organic agriculture as the focal point of their Masters level studies. Two years ago, the European Commission and the Australian Department of Education, Science and Technology (DEST) came up with the call for applications for a pilot project to support international mobility of tertiary students between the two continents. The grand aims set for the exchange included providing students with an international outlook and a range of perspectives, preparing them for the global marketplace, enable their understanding and empathy for different cultures and traditions and foster exchange of information. A number of us with an interest and an already...

Landmænds opfattelser af natur og aktuel naturkvalitet på bedriften. Cross cutting rapport for CC3 Organic Eprints
Hansen, L.; Noe, E.; Langer, V.; Ejrnæs, R.; Tybirk, K.; Bruus Pedersen, M..

Life cycle assessment of fossil energy use and greenhouse gas emissions in Chinese pear production Organic Eprints
Liu , Y.; Langer, V.; Høgh-Jensen, H.; Egelyng, H..
An environmental life cycle assessment (LCA) was performed in China to investigate environmental consequences of the life cycle of pears in terms of fossil energy use and greenhouse gas emissions. The assessment identified activities that contributed significantly to pears’ environmental impacts from the cradle to the point of sale. Cultivation was identified as having the greatest greenhouse gas emissions in pear production chains, followed by the process of storage and transportation. The contribution from fossil energy use differed in the production chains since environmental performance does not follow the farming system (organic-conventional) but is co-determined by topography and thus machine use, by market demands to seasonality of products and...
