The natural oyster deposits of the Gironde region have been administratively classed by the decrees of July 31st, 1924 and April 10th, 1925, and recognised as healthy by decision n°5 of May 13th, 1941. These deposits are: deposits comprised between the upstream limit of the deposits (Chenal de By or red light n° 25) and the southern limit of the unsanitary zone of the Verdon river, La Reille, Goulée, Richard or La Fosse, Saint-Vivien, Cabiraux, Cheyzin, Verdon deposits, to the limit of the unsanitary zone. Oysters can also be found on the rocks and the structures of the Pointe de Grave, but their fishing is prohibited by the Ponts-et-Chaussées because of the necessity to protect the structures. These oysters are located in the unsanitary zone. |
