Covered nitrogen on study of two maize genotype groups in Gurupi, Brazil Sci. Agrar.Paran. / SAP
de Carvalho, Edmar Vinícius; Afférri, Flávio Sérgio; Peluzio, Joênes Mucci; Leal, Tarcísio Castro Alves de Barros; Rotili, Eliane Aparecida; Reis, Ana Luísa Lopes Ernesto.
The nitrogen is the most absorbed nutrient by maize, and its supply after seeding is common. However, its available for the plants is associate with soil and weather conditions and with kind of genetic material that is used, due the yield potential and the genetic base. This paper had the aim to evaluate two maize genotype groups at levels of nitrogen in covered, in Gurupi, Tocantins State, Brazil, season 2012/13. The experiments with 30 genotypes had two levels of covered nitrogen (0 and 150 kg ha-1) and they were seeding in two dates. The experiments with 12 genotypes had three levels of covered nitrogen (20; 80; 140 kg ha-1) and they were seeding in four dates. The experimental design was randomized blocks with three replications. For the analysis of...

Growth analysis of sorghum underdifferent stands Sci. Agrar.Paran. / SAP
Terra, Thiago Gledson Rios; Leal, Tarcísio Castro Alves de Barros; Siebeneichler, Susana Cristina; Neto, Justino José Dias; Dos Anjos, Liamar Maria; Castro, Diogo Vieira de.
In view of the current and increasing importance of the culture of sorghum in Brazil, and that the same one can be cultivated in not favorable of the soil and clima conditions to other cereals, the analysis of growth of plants of this species under different densities of plantation was carried through. The experiment was developed at the University Campus of Gurupi-TO, pertaining it the Federal University of Tocantins, in delineation of blocks at random with five repetitions.  Four densities of culture, corresponding 140, 200, 260 and 320 thousand plants for hectare had been used. The evaluations, spaced of ten days between themselves, were effected during all the cycle of the plants. It was verified that the lesser densities of culture had presented...
