| Objetivou-se avaliar o efeito de diferentes concentrações salinas na água de irrigação na emergência e desenvolvimento inicial de plântulas de flamboyant (Delonix regia (Bojer ex Hook.) Raf.). O experimento foi desenvolvido em casa de vegetação do Departamento de Ciências Vegetais da Universidade Federal Rural do Semiárido - UFERSA, Mossoró-RN. O delineamento estatístico utilizado foi o inteiramente casualizado, com cinco tratamentos e quatro repetições, com 25 sementes cada. | ABSTRACT Seed companies increasingly need to obtain rapid and reliable results on seed quality. In this context, this study aimed at verifying the efficiency of CO2 measurement for classifying West Indian gherkin (Cucumis anguria L.) seed vigor, using three seed lots of cv. “Do Norte” and three of cv. “Nordestino”. | ABSTRACT This study aimed to evaluate the tolerance of C. leprosum seedlings to salt stress during the emergence and early seedling development. The experiment was carried out between the months of August and September, in a greenhouse, and the substrate used was the commercial coconut fiber wetted with aqueous solutions of sodium chloride (NaCl), calcium chloride (CaCl2) and potassium chloride (KCl) with the electrical conductivities of 0.0, 1.5, 2.5, 3.5, 4.5, 5.5 and 6.5 dS m-1. | ABSTRACT Combretum leprosum Mart., commonly known as ‘mofumbo’, is used for medicinal purposes, recovery of degraded areas and apiculture. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of water stress on the germination and vigor of C. leprosum seeds as function of different temperatures. | ABSTRACT The objective was to evaluate the physical characteristics and physiological behavior of A. oleracea seeds during imbibition and germination, under different temperatures and photoperiods, as well as to determine the duration of the germination test. For this, biometric parameters (length, width and thickness) were measured in 100 seeds and thousand-seed weight was determined.
