Phoma Piskorzii (Petrak) comb. nov., the anamorph of Leptosphaeria acuta (Fuckel) P. Karst Naturalis
Boerema, G.H.; Loerakker, W.M..
The pycnidial state of Leptosphaeria acuta appeared to be identical with the lectotype of Diploplenodomus piskorzii, and belongs to Phoma sect. Plenodomus. The binomials Phoma acuta, Leptophoma acuta and Plenodomus acuta are misapplied ambiguous names often referring to the anamorph of Leptosphaeria doliolum sensu stricto.

A new species of Corynespora Naturalis
Loerakker, W.M..
In the course of investigations on fungi occurring on bark of deciduous trees, an unknown dematiaceous fungus was encountered. Because of its long, septate conidia, arising from the apex of dark conidiophores, the specimen was thought to represent an undescribed species of the genus Corynespora Güssow. This identification was kindly confirmed by Dr. M. B. Ellis, C. M. I., Kew.

Contributions towards a monograph of Phoma (Coelomycetes) — III. 2. Misapplications of the type species name and the generic synonyms of section Plenodomus (Excluded species) Naturalis
Boerema, G.H.; Loerakker, W.M.; Hamers, Maria E.C..
Various old records of Phoma lingam (teleomorph Leptosphaeria maculans) on non-cruciferous plants proved to be based on misidentifications. In the past the fungus has also often been confused with other fungi occurring on crucifers. Forty-five species formerly classified under the generic synonyms Plenodomus, Diploptenodomus, Leptophoma and Deuterophoma were excluded from Phoma sect. Plenodomus, seventeen of them being non-scleroplectenchymatous species of Phoma. Asteromella cocogena, Asteromella pomi and Phoma versabilis are described as new species and twelve new combinations are proposed: Ascochyta aggregata (Höhnel), Cytosporella cenangium (Corda), Fusicoccum hoveniae (Gucevicz), Phacidiella hiemalis (Desm.), Phoma cruenta (Sydow), Phoma filarszkyana...

Studies in plant pathogenic fungi—II. On some powdery mildews (Erysiphales) recently recorded from the Netherlands Naturalis
Noordeloos, M.E.; Loerakker, W.M..
Full descriptions and notes on their pathogenous properties are given of the anamorphs of four powdery mildews recently recorded as new from the Netherlands. Two are described as new species, viz. Oidium longipes on Solarium melongena and O. limnanthis on Limnanthes alba. Oidium lycopersicum Cooke & Massee is redescribed on account of the study of the holotype and recently collected material, and an Oidium sp. occurring on Chrysanthemum morifolium is critically compared with the existing descriptions of Oidium chrysanthemi Rabenh. and O. helichrysi Boesewinkel.
