In order to ensure the economic sustainability of a small-scale agroindustrial project, it is essential that proper investment opportunity studies be conducted, observing, among other factors, the business model and its associated risks. The evaluation of the performance of rural enterprises is usually based on financial and productive factors. Indicators related to personal and family aims are rarely considered under such perspectives. In this context, this research proposes a systemic model for managing family farming. The conceptual model reveals, by using financial and non-financial performance indicators, the interaction of family needs and the production and financial oriented approaches that occur in this type of business. The present paper aims to propose an analysis and relation methodology of financial perspective, the customer perspective, the internal process perspective and the learning and growth perspective, in the same way as treated for Balanced Scorecard (BSC).
