ABSTRACT: The grazing behavior practice by bovines can be positive or negatively influenced by the pasture structure where the animal is inserted. Several factors determine the pasture structure and the presence of weeds is considered one of the most important. This study aimed to assess the effect of species with and without stiff structures over the grazing behavior of bovines in pasture areas. ABSTRACT: This research aimed to study weed interference relationship on morphogenesis, yield, and greenhouse gas production potential of Urochloa ruziziensis under pasture renovation conditions. The experimental design was a randomized block design with four replications. Treatments consisted of seven coexistence periods: 0, 15, 30, 45, 60, 75, and 90 days after emergence (DAE). The following morphological parameters were analyzed: number of tillers, number of leaves, photosynthetically active leaf blade biomass, fresh stem biomass, dead material biomass, and total dry biomass. ABSTRACT: Razor grass (Paspalum virgatum L) is one weed that has gain importance because of its high seed production capability, mainly when pasture fields need to be renewed. Understanding seedling emergence behavior is crucial to devise strategies to manage this weed. This trial was carried out to evaluate the emergence pattern of razor grass seedlings on the basis of seed depth in the soil profile.
