| ABSTRACT This study analyzed the initial growth of baru in nutrient solutions with individualized omission of mineral nutrients in greenhouse. The experimental design was completely randomized with 13 treatments and four replicates: Complete Hoagland & Arnon solution and with individualized omissions of N, P, K, Ca, Mg, S, B, Cu, Fe, Mn, Mo and Zn. At 60 days the following morphological characteristics were evaluated: height, root collar diameter, number of leaves and number of leaflets. In addition, the Dickson quality index and root/shoot ratio were calculated and root dry matter, shoot dry matter and the contents and accumulations of nutrients in the shoots of the seedlings were analyzed. | Este trabalho foi realizado com o objetivo de testar substratos obtidos a partir da combinação de um composto orgânico oriundo de resíduos do processo de fabricação de celulose, com um substrato base de controle. O estudo foi realizado no viveiro florestal da Universidade Federal de Lavras utilizando-se sementes do híbrido Eucalyptus “urograndis”. Foram testados seis tratamentos com doses crescentes de composto orgânico. O experimento foi implantado em delineamento inteiramente casualizado, com seis tratamentos, cinco repetições e 30 mudas por parcela. A avaliação dos substratos foi mensurada através da análise do crescimento das plantas, ao longo do tempo e de sua qualidade, ao final do processo de produção.
