| O comportamento estrutural estático de um chassi experimental de semeadora de quatro linhas para agricultura familiar foi testado, utilizando-se da técnica numérica de Análise de Elementos Finitos, onde se levou em consideração os esforços a que a máquina em questão estaria sujeita, quando suspensa do chão, pelos três pontos de engate do trator. Para a validação do modelo usado pelo software SolidWorks Simulation, submeteu-se um protótipo em escala real do chassi a carregamentos de forças verticais, a fim de comparar os deslocamentos reais da estrutura com os deslocamentos calculados pelo software. | In recent years, public policy has been offering subsidized credit for machine purchase to family farmers. However, there is no methodological procedure to select a suitable tractor for these farmers' situation. In this way, we aimed to develop a selection model for smallholder farmers from Pelotas city region in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. Building a multicriteria model to aid decisions is divided into three main stages: structuring stage (identifying stakeholders, decisional context and model creation), evaluation stage (stakeholder preference quantification) and recommendation stage (choice selection). | The furrow openers for no-till system should be easy to penetrate the soil, generate low levels of soil mobilization and require a little traction force. Thus, the aim of this research was to compare six hoe-type furrow openers, four of industrial manufacturing and two handcrafted models, which were used in planters in the region of Pelotas, Brazil. The parameters for comparison among these furrow openers were the horizontal (Fh) and vertical (Fv) forces acting on the tip of the hoe and the cross-sectional area mobilized in the furrow.
