การตรวจสอบยีนควบคุมความหอมของข้าวด้วยวิธีปฏิกิริยาลูกโซ่โพลีเมอเรสแบบเวลาจริง Thai Agricultural

Aromatic rice is a specific group of rice having high price in the world rice market. Fragrant trait is therefore included in the principal goal for rice production and improvement. A recessive gene on chromosome 8 has been elucidated to be homology with the gene encoded for betaine aldehyde dehydrogenase (BADH2). In fragrant rice this gene was mutated by 8 bp deletion in exon 7 resulting in accumulation of 2-acetyl-1-pyrroline (2AP). In this study, BADEX7-5 primer which is specific for fragrant gene (badh2) was tested by conventional PCR and Real-time PCR.
