| Monitoring results on the abundante of queen conch (Strombus gigas) are presented. Field Works were done in the comercial fishing ground at Jardines de la Reina Nacional Park, south-east region of the Cuban shelf. Means a protected area under control of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Enviroment, and its local authorities. According to the fishery importance of this zone for the conch, a joint research assessment were done, aim to evaluate the actual possibilities for a sustainable commercial operation, following an ensure scope. By the abundance estimation observed is allowed a MSY of 119 metric tons (living weight), from October 2008 until April 2009.
